The time has finally come – the first trailer for And Just Like That season 2 just dropped and fans finally have a glimpse into what’s been happening with Carrie Bradshaw — and the return of Aidan Shaw.

Ever since season 2 began production in September, we’ve been following every new development. From Carrie’s headline-making outfits to guest stars and returning favorites, we’ve been anxiously waiting to see how all the pieces come together. To jog your memory, the season 1 finale left off with Miranda finding love with podcast host Che (Sara Ramirez). After Charlotte’s child Rock didn’t want a bat mitzvah, she threw one for herself. And after Carrie traveled to Paris to scatter Big’s ashes, she seemed to find love with her podcast producer Franklyn at the very end of the finale episode.

In the first teaser trailer for the new season, there’s plenty of brunching, gossiping and sipping on cosmos between Carrie (played by Sarah Jessica Parker) and her girlfriends.

“If you’re lucky, no matter what life hands you, you can always count on your closest friends to be there,” Carrie says in a voice over at the start of the clip. A montage of moments fans have come to expect from the show follows, including Carrie admiring her shoes and hanging out with Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), Lisa (Nicole Ari Parker), Seema (Sarita Choudhury), Dr. Nya Wallace (Karen Pittman) and Anthony (Mario Cantone).

“We are all blissfully unaware when our lives are about to change,” Carrie says in the voiceover.

Changes in Charlotte’s life includes a “MILF” list circulating at her children’s school, as well as her daughter Lily informing Charlotte, Harry (Evan Handler) and Anthony that she’s “ready to lose her virginity.”

For Miranda, she’s taking a “big step up” with Che after she separated from her husband Steve (David Eigenberg) last season.

Carrie is getting over the loss of her husband Big (Chris Noth) by having “exit out of grief sex.” She’s seen getting intimate with Franklyn and there’s a cameo from Olivier Hudson which may suggest he and Carrie get together too. “It’s just sex,” Carrie says adding, “Life’s too short not to try something new.”

Other guest include Victor Garber, a reappearance from Carrie’s neighbor Lisette (remember her killer outfits?) and none other, than the return of Carrie’s ex-fiancé, Aiden Shaw (John Corbett). Aiden arrives at Carrie’s stoop just as she says in a voiceover, “And just like that, I realized some things are better left in the past. But maybe not everything.”

The internet already went wild in January when the official Instagram account of the Max show, shared a series of photos showing Carrie and Aidan holding hands walking down the street. “Shh. Don’t tell anyone,” the caption read.

Then, the show shared photos of the two kissing in the middle of N.Y.C.

Before season 1 aired, Corbett told Page Six that he would be in And Just Like That, adding that he might be in “quite a few” episodes. But after all 10 aired, he was no where to be found.

In August, Deadline reported that Corbett was “set for a substantial, multi-episode arc.” The following month, Parker confirmed that Corbett would return, telling Entertainment Tonight, “Could be, could be. Well, you know, I can’t be like, cryptic about it anymore.”

Carrie and Aidan called it quits (again) at the end of season 4, but he made a memorable appearance in season 6 as a married man with his baby in tow. In the Sex and the City 2, Aidan made another return when Carrie just so happen to be in the same souk in Abu Dhabi as her former flame.

The teaser left many things still up in the air, but what we do know is that fans are in store for a lot of friends and fashion, just the way we like it. While we hope everything we want to see in season 2 appears, keep watching this space for more updates before the premiere in June.
