Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed on Tuesday that actor John Corbett is set to reprise his Sex and the City role as Aidan Shaw in the upcoming second season of the HBO Max reprisal And Just Like That.
“Could be, could be,” Parker told Entertainment Tonight of Corbett’s potential return to the franchise. “Well, you know, I can’t be like, cryptic about it anymore.”
Deadline reported Corbett’s return as Aidan in August, noting that the actor was, “set for a substantial, multi-episode arc.”
We already got our hopes up ahead of season 1 that Corbett would return, when he told Page Six that he might be in “quite a few” episodes. But after the season finale, fans noticed he was nowhere to be found.

Parker later cleared up the confusion when sitting down with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live. “When he actually reached out, very kindly, because he’s nothing if not a gentleman, and apologized for doing that as a joke,” said Parker. “Then I was like, ‘No, no, no, it’s a free country first of all.’ And I thought it was kind of delightful and kind of fun.”
When asked if it’s possible he could return, she said: “I think he would be … I mean, I’m not going, yes, all of it’s possible.”
Last week, Parker teased her script during a table read, confirming that work on the series’ second season is underway. “Just this much. For now. X, SJ,” Parker captioned her photo on Instagram of her script for episode 201 of And Just Like That with the title crossed out.
