Is there anything that Rihanna can’t do? The appropriate answer here is no. There is nothing Bad Girl Ri Ri can’t do. Why? Because that Rihanna reign just won’t let up. If you thought that Robyn Rihanna Fenty pausing her LVMH-backed fashion label (opting to focus on Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty for the present moment) meant the 33-year-old was not about to get these looks off — well, you my friend are sadly mistaken. And really, it’s time for us to acknowledge something: Ms. Fenty practically invented street style! No wonder A$AP Rocky couldn’t wait to tell the world they were dating!

And who among us can say they don’t have a personal archive of Rihanna’s street style outfits saved to their phone for inspiration? Tell the truth. I think the answer to that is all of us. From the Princess Diana T-shirt with those sickening denim, thigh-high Manolo Blahnik boots to her summer wearing those iconic Tom Ford Gladiator Sandal boots, that time she shut the internet down in that Saint Laurent red heart-shaped coat casually pairing it with cut-off denim shorts —every single time Rihanna walks out her door, we take notes.

Most recently, the mogul was photographed leaving Nobu in Los Angelos on Monday, May 17, and we can’t stop thinking about her outfit. She gives us athleisure with sexy sprinkles of monochrome, matching track jacket and bag, then the cream on cream throughout the crocheted bralette. It’s so simple yet incredibly stunning. And paired with her signature Rated-R pixie — which she re-debuted a few weeks ago? Ugh, this is serving us everything we need and much more.

Let’s do a little breakdown of the ‘fit.

The Telfar Track Jacket:

Rih chose to warm up her vaxxed girl summer outfit with this Telfar velour jacket. Debuted at his Fall 2020 show, the multi-green color-blocked zip-up jacket is giving early-aughts vibes.

The MAXIMILLIAN MINI SKIRT:

Along with wearing more established brands, Rihanna is quite known for supporting emerging brands and Black designers. To coincide with the Y2K theme of the velour Telfar jacket, she paired that with this mini skirt from emerging brand MAXIMILLIAN. This isn’t the first time she’s worn the MAXIMILLIAN as she wore a full look from the brand for an Essence magazine editorial. We’re getting serious Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie Simple Life meets Manny Santos from Degrassi vibes here. You know, considering the infamous exposed thong illusion from this skirt with the side cut-outs.

Bottega Crocheted Bralette:

The Bajan baddie is loving crochet lately as just last week, she wore a crochet mini dress made by an emerging Bajan designer. With this look, she paired her Telfar jacket with this Bottega Veneta crocheted bralette (which is unfortunately sold out) for a night of scallop sushi rolls and sake.
