The shoe of the summer is here. Bottega Veneta’s mesh ankle-wrap pumps are showing up on all our favorite celebrities — and fans are noticing. The shoe retails for $930 and is poised to be a go-to item in everyone’s closet. The City Girls’ Yung Miami and Nicki Minaj were all seen in the ‘Yellow 90mm Net Ankle-Tie Pumps,’ while Jordyn Woods and Rihanna opted for the white variety. The popular brand’s notoriety is even branching off to a younger generation through TikTok. Rapper Bia’s song “Whole Lotta Money” mentions the shoe brand by name (Fendi on my body, but my feet is in Bottega are the lyrics), which has become a popular topic on the app. 

Everyone’s favorite Bad Gal, Rihanna, took to Instagram on Tuesday to promote her latest Fenty Skin drop, a moisturizer called Butta Drop, sharing a slideshow of photos of herself in a look that is made for summer, with her Bottegas to match. Yung Miami, one half of the iconic rap duo The City Girls, was seen out on the town in hers. Woods celebrated sunglass brand owner, Elisa Johnson, in an all-white outfit with her mesh sandals to boot. After making her grand entrance back on Instagram, Nicki Minaj posed in a body-con yellow dress and Bottegas. The Grammy-nominated artist is still hinting in her caption at a possible Friday release, of what, we have no idea. But we’re excited nonetheless!

With many of Bottega Veneta’s styles featuring current on-trend elements such as square-toe fronts and thong-toe finishes, the options are the perfect addition to everyone’s growing love of the sandal heel. Spotted on the likes of Kylie Jenner in addition to Olivia Culpo, Emily Ratajkowski, Kourtney Kardashian, and more, the Italian brand has risen through the ranks as a top label for Hollywood’s fashionistas. As summer creeps closer and vacation plans commence, these mesh and crochet sandals are set to be a fashion front-runner.
