There doesn’t seem to be much that Rihanna can’t do. From beauty to luxury ready-to-wear, the performer turned mogul has built an empire. The “B*tch Better Have My Money” singer is making sure she is, indeed, stacked and flush with cash from her own businesses. And while most of her ventures have proven to be wildly successful, news broke today that she will be discontinuing her Paris-based luxury fashion line, Fenty, after just two years.
After collaborating on Fenty x Puma for a few collections, Rihanna decided to branch out on her own, creating her own luxury fashion brand. Fenty operated outside of the traditional luxury fashion calendar, adopting the “see now, buy now” model. Instead of presenting four major collections a year, collections dropped every few months and were available for purchase immediately.
The “releases,” as they were called, emulated Rihanna’s personal style, ranging from elevated sweats and denim to tailored leather pieces and sexy dresses. Fenty also launched accessories with the ready-to-wear collections, including a desirable selection of sunglasses, jewelry, and shoes. She recently collaborated with famed up-and-coming shoe designer, Amina Muaddi, making Fenty accessories even more sought after.
While we mourn the closing of the Fenty doors, we can at least find solace in the fact that Rihanna basically gave us access to her closet. She created a line of clothing and accessories that she actually wears quite frequently. How many times has a celebrity worn something that you’ve wanted, but realistically could never get? In the case of Rihanna, we can assure you that you can get what is in her closet. Check out all the pieces from Fenty that Rihanna has worn and you can still get.
