Jennifer Lopez can’t stop pulling out swoon-worthy looks for The Mother press tour. On Thursday evening, Lopez stepped out for a special fan screening of her new action-packed Netflix film at the Paris Theater in New York City, wearing a perfectly fitted black mid-length sleeveless Versace dress.
Never one to miss out on a blinged out moment, Lopez teamed her dress with Yeprem jewels, including a winding, spiral diamond necklace and a claw-like diamond bangle. The Shotgun Wedding actress slipped into a pair of bedazzled Star sandals from Lopez’s own collaboration with REVOLVE and carried a Black Diamond Crushed Velvet Perry clutch by Tyler Ellis, styled by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn.
Lopez maintained her signature soft glam makeup look and styled her caramel-colored strands in loose, glossy waves with a middle part.
In The Mother, Lopez portrays a military-trained assassin who fights tooth and nail to protect the daughter she’s never met from ruthless criminals gunning for revenge. While speaking to the audience at the screening, Lopez said in a quote acquired by People, “I think that there are some beautiful themes in here about what it is to be a mother, what it is to want to protect something with your entire life, as we do with our children.”
She explained that working with her on-screen daughter Lucy Gaez on the project helped her become a better mother in real life to her twins Emme and Max Muñiz, 15. “It was a great experience to have her mouthing off to me on the set and then go home and have the same experience at home,” Lopez joked. “But it really was a kind of growing experience for me.”
All week long she made the press tour rounds at ABC studios, TODAY and more and made each stop one-to-watch thanks to her multitude of head-turning ensembles.
Earlier in the day, the pop star was spotted wearing a Brunello Cucinelli blazer tucked into a tiered fringe knit skirt. Lopez added Yeprem jewels and slipped into a pair of transparent PVC platform pumps, wearing aviator sunglasses and a charcoal gray crossbody bag over her shoulder.
Before that, the Marry Me actress donned a cozy-chic charcoal gray ensemble from Michael Kors, featuring a long tailored coat with soft shoulders worn over a figure-forming flare-leg jumpsuit tied off with an architectural belt with statement hardware. The singer carried a cream-colored studded Valentino handbag and aviator sunglasses, keeping her blowout and soft glam intact.
The day before, Lopez took a walk on the wild side in a full Valentino ensemble, featuring a leopard-print glittering mini dress, featuring maroon plumage on the sleeves, sequin leopard-print tights, matching leopard pumps and a micro-mini leopard-print Valentino handbag.
The multi-hyphenate pulled her caramel locks into a half-up, half-down style, added gold statement earrings to the mix, and popped on a pair of square-shaped sunnies for an afternoon of press.
For her appearance on TODAY, Lopez donned two looks for the occasion. During Today with Hoda & Jenna, Lopez adorned a black leather Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini gown with a neck-tie detailing and pulled her hair back into a sleek ponytail.
In an early segment, Lopez wore a turquoise ensemble from Milanese label Del Core in a leather pencil skirt, a sheer blouse with billowing sleeves and a beige corset underneath.
Lopez pulled her hair back into a tight bun, showing off her chunky silver hoop earrings and coordinating assortment of rings.
Of course, she kicked off her fashionable week at the 2023 Met Gala, where she wore a Ralph Lauren gown and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
