As if Jennifer Lopez isn’t busy enough, she has a new partnership to add to her résumé. This week, Lopez was named the newest global brand ambassador for the Italian lingerie and intimate apparel label Intimissimi, and announced the news by starring in its Spring/Summer 2023 campaign.
The idea of a partnership all started last year when she traveled to Italy. “I love Italy,” Lopez said in an official statement. “The people, the fashion, the culture, the food and the storied history. When I discovered Intimissimi, I was immediately drawn to their precious silks, romantic lace, beautiful cuts, flattering fits and intricate designs.”
You may remember, she was in Italy during her second honeymoon with husband Ben Affleck last summer following their second set of nuptials. Perhaps it was during that trip that she enjoyed some retail therapy?
In the campaign, Lopez stripped down to the colorful lace-embroidered bras and panties as she posed for photographer Chris Colls in an Italian villa. The campaign’s cinematic imagery encapsulated the ambiance of the Italian cliffside village of Positano and the colors of the collection reflected the environment, with fuchsia representing the bougainvillea flower, orange speaking to the glowing sun and turquoise symbolizing the Mediterranean Sea.
“When looking for a brand partner who embodies the spirit of all our iconic customers, we immediately looked to Jennifer Lopez,” said Chief Executive Officer Matteo Veronesi. “We want women to live the most fulfilling life and feel empowered every day.”
Lopez said in a statement that she’s “proud” to be an “Intimissimi woman” and she’s “honored that they view me as someone who emulates their own qualities of confident, lively and strong.”
