The highly-anticipated new series, Daisy Jones & the Six, based on the best-selling book, is almost here, and the cast celebrated all together on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere on Thursday evening. The outing marked leading lady Riley Keough’s first red carpet appearance following her mother Lisa Marie Presley’s unexpected death on Jan. 12. Keough attended the event with her husband, Ben Smith-Petersen, and was joined by her co-stars Sam Claflin, Suki Waterhouse, Camila Morrone, Nabiyah Be and Hello Sunshine producer Reese Witherspoon.
Based on Taylor Jenkins Reid’s 2019 best-selling novel of the same name, Daisy Jones & the Six follows the rise to fame and subsequent fall of a fictional rock band in the 1970s. The adaptation will detail the romance and love triangle between lead singers, Daisy Jones (Keough) and Billy Dunne (Claflin), and Billy’s wife Camila (Morrone). After the unexpected breakup of the band during their peak of fame and success, the series jumps forward through time, 20 years later to reveal what happened between them.
The first three episodes of Daisy Jones & the Six will premiere on Prime Video on March 3, then new episodes will drop every Friday. See all the stars at the L.A. premiere, below.
Riley Keough
Styled by Jamie Mizrahi, Keough wore a Schiaparelli Spring/Summer 2023 Haute Couture creation designed by Daniel Roseberry. The black bodice featured a plunging V-neckline and corset lacing in the back, teamed with a bedazzled ankle-length skirt, black pumps, black velvet opera gloves and hand-faceted green and gold broken glass earrings.
Suki Waterhouse
Matching the bohemian-glam 1970s wardrobe in the film, Waterhouse chose a sheer emerald green caftan from Stephane Rolland’s Spring/Summer 2023 Couture collection. Styled by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, the gown featured a plunging, scoop bejeweled neckline with a leotard underneath. Waterhouse teamed her look with a Tyler Ellis clutch, and MISHO gold bangles and earrings.
Nabiyah Be
Evoking disco-glam, Nabiyah Be walked the red carpet in a blinged-out, sheer PatBo design, covered in crystal beaded fringe and torso cutouts.
Camila Morrone
Camila Morrone arrived in a black caped column Valentino dress, with a keyhole neckline and rosette appliqué. The actress teamed her ensemble with patent leather black platform pumps.
Reese Witherspoon
Styled by Petra Flannery, Witherspoon didn’t just choose any old LBD for the occasion. The Hollywood icon wore a black Schiaparelli signature trompe l’œil skeleton dress from the Spring/Summer 2023 Ready-to-Wear collection. Featuring padded velvet bone inserts, the dress included golden nipple buttons down the middle, teamed with black Christian Louboutin pumps and REZA jewels.
