Pull out your bell bottoms! Daisy Jones and the Six has just wrapped filming.

The upcoming Amazon Prime Video series is based on the popular best-selling novel by the same name, written by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Actress (and granddaughter of Elvis Presley) Riley Keough, will be playing the main character, Daisy Jones, in the series and celebrated the end of filming by sharing a bikini-clad photo on Instagram.

“Im officially done with @daisyjonesandthesix and we ended on the beaches of Greece. Thank you to this amazing crew who worked so hard. I can’t wait for everyone to see the beautiful work everyone’s done. #daisyjonesandthesix,” Keough wrote. She posed in a red string bikini with wide straw hat, alongside the show’s makeup department head, Rebecca Wachtel, and hairstylists Natalie Vermiglio and Maryann Hennings.

The novel follows the rise of a fictional rock band and their lead singers in the 1970s as they become one of the world’s most legendary groups, until they split at the height of their fame. The novel explains their breakup, and was inspired by the story of Fleetwood Mac, and Stevie Nicks in particular, Taylor Reid explained.

Along with Keough as Daisy Jones, the rest of the cast includes Sam Claflin as Billy Dunne, Will Harrison as Graham Dunne, Sebastian Chacon as Warren Rhodes, and Suki Waterhouse as the keyboardist Karen. In an interview with Variety, Waterhouse said she and her fellow bandmates/costars recorded original music for the series and rehearsed every day for six months straight.

The novel has won awards such as the New York Times Bestseller list, the Goodreads Choice Awards for Best Historical Fiction, the 2020 Goldsboro Books Glass Bell Award, and came highly recommended by Reese Witherspoon’s bookclub. Witherspoon saw the novel’s potential and merged her production company, Hello Sunshine, with Amazon Studios to serve as an executive producer of the miniseries.

Now that filming wrapped, we’re on the edge of our seat for a release date announcement.
