The long-awaited television adaption of Daisy Jones & the Six is finally getting released. Based on the fictional best-selling novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid, the limited series will see a young and ultra cool star-studded cast reimagine an era in rock ‘n’ roll made famous by the likes of Fleetwood Mac and The Beatles.

Prime Video released a short teaser to the series which will see a global release from March 3 next year. Riley Keough, known for her roles in The Girlfriend Experience and Zola, will play lead singer Daisy. The ever-dreamy Sam Claflin plays rock star Billy Dunne while his wife is portrayed by Camila Morrone. The cast will also feature model and singer Suki Waterhouse as Karen alongside, Sebastian Chacon as Warren, Josh Whitehouse as Eddie, and Will Harrison as Graham. Timothy Olyphant plays Rod Reyes, Tom Wright is Teddy Price, and Nabiyah Be plays Simone Jackson.

Vanity Fair has released a first look at Daisy Jones & the Six which also promises a fashionable throwback to ’70s glamour. Think floaty bohemian dresses, glittering suit sets, cowboy boots and tinted sunglasses. Beauty arrives in the form of smudged eyeliner (the slept-in look) glitter eyeshadow and curtain bangs.

The series is led by husband-and-wife executive producers Scott Neustadter and Lauren Levy Neustadter. Scott is known for screenwriting famous adaptions including John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars while Lauren is the head of Film and TV at Reese Witherspoon’s production company, Hello Sunshine.

It has been a long time coming for the new series. Production was due to commence in early 2020 and shutdown following global lockdowns. According to the publication, the cast attended weekly Zoom sessions and music classes with Claflin revealing that the extended production meant that they could “gel” as real band.

Stay tuned for further updates. We’re excited for this one.
