There’s a handful of iconic fringes that will go down in beauty history: Blondie, Audrey Hepburn, Jane Birkin, Betty Page, Mia Farrow, Alexa Chung…. and based on the below images, we’re adding Suki Waterhouse to the list.

The musician and model played a sold out show at the iconic New York nightspot Webster Hall on Jan. 28, and vocals/performance aside (which were both incredible, to say the least), her YSL fit and weighty bangs made us do a double take.

Thick, choppy and sitting just below her brows, length-wise, the Nostalgia singer’s hair has become synonymous with her waif-ish, ’60s style – we’re calling it as equal parts Jane Birkin, Stevie Knicks and Debbie Harry (the holy trinity). True to form, she also paired the tousled fringe with clean skin, winged liner and a soft wash of (British) rose blush. Perfection.

Waterhouse, who has been a fixture on the modeling scene since she was 16, has since moved into acting, starring in rom-coms and indie flicks alike (Love, Rosie, Persuasion and the upcoming series, Daisy Jones & The Six among them).

She’s currently on tour promoting her EP Milk Teeth, a soft, hazy mix of music from both her early days and now, the TikTok-viral Good Looking among them (it currently has 118,000,000 streams on Spotify). The tour, aptly titled the “coolest place in the world tour” is set to move throughout the US for the next few weeks — and we already can’t wait to see more looks.
