Sydney Sweeney celebrated the Fourth of July with a tropical photoshoot during sunset on the beach, sporting an itsy bitsy teenie weenie bikini reminiscent of one of her costumes in the HBO hit prestige drama Euphoria. With a string bikini bottom, and a strapless bandeau top, Sweeney once again, opted for a light blue and white gingham print, à la Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz.
Shot by Amber Asaly, the photographer shared images on her Instagram account, writing, “I pledge allegiance 2 @sydney_sweeney 🇺🇸.” Sweeney also shared the pics with a firecracker emoji, “🧨.”
With her golden blonde, beach-blown waves styled by Florido Basallo, Sweeney’s sun-kissed beauty look came courtesy of makeup artist Melissa Hernandez. Styled by her got-to, Molly Dickson, the White Lotus actress was the ultimate beach babe in the photos.
Euphoria fans might get flashbacks to one of her character’s famous bathroom scenes, when Cassie Howard (played by Sweeney) wore a custom creation from designer Seth Pratt. Cassie was caught in the bathroom by her group of friends in a particularly twangy ensemble, Rue (Zendaya) genuinely inquires as to whether Cassie is dressed to audition for the drama club’s rendition of Oklahoma!.
The scene of “I’ve never, ever been happier” fame, sends Cassie into a very dramatic, very memorable meltdown.
Sweeney has recently posed for a string of new campaigns, including modeling on the back of a motorbike in Hawaii for French fashion label Jacquemus, and played in the sand in a sky-blue string bikini and an unbuttoned linen shirt for a new partnership with SOL by Jergens Deep Water Tanning Mousse, the product responsible for her sun-kissed, back-from-the-beach glow she’s perfected.
Earlier this month, Sweeny received the Breakthrough Award at Austin Texas’ ATX Television Festival where she sat on a panel, discussing her roles on Euphoria and The White Lotus.
