With a sprinkle of Dolly Parton, and a dash of Oklahoma!, Sydney Sweeney goes full country in the latest episode of Euphoria. Portraying the troubled Cassie Howard, she goes in to over-the-top self-care mode when her secret relationship with the truly psychotic Nate Jacobs keeps her wondering where she stands. The distressed teen spends hours on end each morning jade-rolling, masking, and exfoliating while fully engrossed in the thought of Nate.

Waking up at 4:00 a.m. to complete her rigorous beauty regimen, Cassie triple checks that every hair is perfectly in place to hopefully catch Nate’s eye in the hallways at school. Ignored time and time again while still having secret trysts relegated to the weekends, Cassie is driven to sheer desperation.

Suffering from a bit of sartorial semantic satiation (when you say a word too so times that it doesn’t even feel like a word anymore), Cassie’s obsessive compulsive routine and constant thoughts of Nate result in her completely losing sight of herself and coming up with some pretty erratic ensembles courtesy of expert costume designer Heidi Bivens.

One day accidentally dressing the exact same as her best friend (and Nate’s ex) Maddy, and the next dressing as a “country music star”, Cassie begins to experience a major identity crisis. When caught in the school bathroom in a blue floral sundress and matching gingham twist-tie top (à la Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz), Rue (Zendaya) genuinely inquires as to whether Cassie is dressed to audition for the drama club’s rendition of Oklahoma!. The custom creation from designer Seth Pratt, was given an extra frilly element at the bust-line with For Love and Lemons Luella bustier peaking through.

Sending Cassie into a chaotic swirl of panic, she asks Rue over and over if her question was serious. Maddy corroborates her friend’s unintentional country flair. When Cassie asks, “In a good way or a bad way?!” Maddy unflinchingly responds “B*tch, you’d better be joking,” prompting Cassie to fall into a tailspin, divulging her secret relationship with Nate and scream-crying that she’s “never ever been happier!”

With her breakdown turning out merely to be an anxious fever dream, Cassie actually just blankly stared at herself in the mirror, internally holding on by a thread.

As usual with a standout Euphoria scene, Sydney Sweeney‘s tangible anxiety and eccentric get-up has sent Twitter into a tailspin of its own.

Here, GRAZIA has compiled a few of the most hilarious, on-point takes on Cassie’s fashion freak out.
