The sister feud ensues. On the latest episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, the two eldest sisters of the royal family of reality television are at odds yet again. Without a doubt, Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian’s unbridled fight scenes tend to be the most “exciting to look” at in the series (get it?). And this time, they’re quarreling about Kim’s collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana after Kourtney worked with the design duo on her bridal looks during her wedding to Travis Barker in May 2022.

In the new episode, Kendall Jenner headed over to Kourtney’s home for a visit, when the Lemme founder explained how hurt she felt about Kim’s business deal to serve as creative director of the Dolce & Gabbana runway presentation in Milan, following Kourtney’s Italian nuptials.

“This isn’t really even about business for me,” Kourtney told her younger sister. “It’s just like this like was my wedding and actually how I’ve lived my life every summer for like five years in a row, like living la dolce vita, genuinely.”

In May 2022, Kourtney married the Blink-182 drummer in a lavish destination wedding in Portofino, Italy, hosted by Dolce & Gabbana, who also made Kourtney’s bridal gown.

That September, Kim teamed up with the Italian fashion house for the Spring/Summer 2023 runway presentation during Milan Fashion Week. The star teased the partnership for days ahead of the show and presented a collection of pieces reimagined from the brand’s archives ranging from 1987 to 2007.

While Kourtney explained part of the similarities had to do with the fact that D&G opened their ’90s archives for herself and her family during the wedding festivities, Kim has always had a penchant for rare archival fashion finds.

Kourtney got emotional during the conversation and eventually broke down in tears saying, “Kim was having these conversations with Dolce that I didn’t know about. She has called me and told me she was doing a SKIMS collab with Dolce & Gabbana, just telling me.”

“I go, ‘What is the point of this call? Is it to get my blessing, is that why you’re calling?’ And she’s like, ‘I guess,’ cause she wasn’t like, ‘Hey, I got this offer. How do you feel about this? I really want the money,’ or whatever it was she was feeling. And then she called me I think another time, she was like, ‘Hey I just want to see if you want to go to Milan for my Dolce thing. It’s not with SKIMS anymore but we’re trying to figure it out,’ and that was the last I heard about it.”

Attempting to remain neutral, Kendall said that she could “see both sides.” Empathizing with Kourtney, the model said, “I could see how you could feel like you had your toes stepped on.”

The mom of three explained that, with so many different business opportunities that Kim could pick from, she was upset Kim would chose the only one that would “copy” her wedding, as she burst into tears. “It’s not about business. It’s just there’s so much and it takes precedence over hurting your sister,” she said.

Then Kourtney accused Kim of “not having fun” at her wedding. “She can never like give acknowledgment of like, ‘Whoa this is so amazing. I love this whole vibe.’ Do you mind? Or how do you feel about me doing something?”

While the pair agreed that Kim’s deal likely wasn’t malicious, Kourtney said, “I think she sees everything that I had there and takes it for her own and she doesn’t even see it. She sees it as the dollar signs, but to me, I see it like, ‘Oh, you were there, you weren’t happy.’ Everyone said something to me. All my friends were like, she’s like spiraling.”

Playing the devil’s advocate, Kendall said, “I do think that like as sisters, we also have to understand when like someone has a job or when like someone’s getting paid a lot of money to do something, we have to try and see like where this could work for both of us, I guess.”

Chatting about how “fast” life is moving for Kim at the moment, Kourtney added, “When it bumps into my life, then I’m affected, otherwise I’m like, ‘Oh, just everyone do whatever makes you happy.”

Kim defended her decision in the episode saying she “couldn’t have been more mindful” and tried to push the collaboration a year.

“What I’ve realized in this lifetime is that everyone has their own truth of how they think something happened and it’s weird, you know,” Kim said. “It’s all gonna come out on the show. This is our therapy.”

The sisters have a long history of catfights on the show, and we’ll be tuning in to see how this one resolves itself.

New episodes of The Kardashians air Wednesdays at 9 p.m. PT on Hulu.
