“I don’t even know where we left off,” says Kim Kardashian in the beginning of the season 3 trailer of The Kardashians. When a producer informs her that she was still in a relationship (with former Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson), Kim replies with a smirk, “I was? Damn.”
“Things change really quickly,” she muses in the background. Reality television’s royal family will return to Hulu on May 25, with more drama coming. Watching Kim fight through her ex-husband Kanye West’s “insane narrative” and try to protect her kids from the blowback, the matriarch of the family Kris Jenner says, “This has been a whirlwind of a year.”
Khloé Kardashian deals with a serious health scare, as she continues to co-parent with her ex-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson. She explains that she thinks her ex believes they still have a chance, but Khloé clarifies, “No. No chances.” (To recap — he fathered a child with another woman last season.)
While Kylie Jenner reflects on the unattainable beauty standards the Kardashian-Jenners have put into motion, the two eldest sisters of the family get into another fight — this time, about Kim’s collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana after Kourtney worked with the designers for the looks during her wedding to Travis Barker in May 2022.

Khloé’s Melanoma Scare
Since we left off last season, Khloé has a tumor removed from her cheek. The 38-year-old first opened up about her skin cancer scare in October 2022 on Instagram, revealing that she first thought the mark was simply a blemish. After getting it biopsied, Khloé came up positive for melanoma. Surgeons then successfully removed the tumor from her face with good margins. “This, on her face, is very concerning,” Kris says in an interview before her best friend Malika Haqq tells Khloé, “I don’t think I’ve seen you this low.” Kendall expresses concern in a clip saying, “She doesn’t sleep, she’s lost a lot of weight.” The trailer then flashes to Khloé cradling her newborn baby boy — and then entering an MRI machine. “Melanoma’s deadly,” says Khloé. “This was way more serious than I anticipated it to be.”
Kourtney vs. Kim
Without a doubt, Kim and Kourtney’s unbridled fight scenes tend to be the most “exciting to look” at in the series (get it?). “My sister used my wedding as a business opportunity,” says Kourtney in the trailer. In May 2022, Kourtney married Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker in a lavish destination wedding in Portofino, Italy, hosted by Dolce & Gabbana, who also made Kourtney’s bridal gown.
That September, Kim teamed up with the Italian fashion house for the Spring/Summer 2023 runway presentation during Milan Fashion Week. The star teased the partnership for days ahead of the show on Saturday, and presented a collection of pieces reimagined from the brand’s archives ranging from 1987 to 2007.
Kendall explains Kourtney’s feelings, saying, “She felt like her wedding vibes were, like stripped from her.” Kim defends herself, saying, “I’m really confused how this narrative came into her head. I couldn’t have been more mindful. I said, ‘Don’t do anything that Kourtney wore to her wedding.'”
“People think it’s a misunderstanding. It’s not,” says Kourtney. “It’s who she is to her core.” The sisters chime in, with Kylie and Kendall saying that they can see both sides of the argument, while Khloé notes that “this tension goes way back.”
Kylie’s Plastic Surgery Regrets
“All of us just need to have a bigger conversation about the beauty standards that we’re setting,” says Kylie in the teaser. “I don’t want my daughter to do the things I did. I wish I never touched anything to begin with.”
In a recent interview with HommeGirls, Jenner opened up about her newfound approach to beauty. Kylie said her mentality has shifted since becoming a mother to her daughter, Stormi Webster, 5, and son Aire, 1, whom she shares with rapper Travis Scott. While she doesn’t regret getting lip filler, she said the being a mother has “made me love myself more.” She said, “I see my features in my daughter and my son now, but you know, my daughter looks like me. I get to see my beauty in her, and it’s made me love myself more for sure. Beauty is always changing for me.”
She then shared a sweet and valuable piece of beauty advise for Stormi. “She’s perfect the way that she is,” said Jenner. “Be confident, always be confident in yourself.”
