Kate Middleton is the latest famous face to lean into the Barbiecore aesthetic that’s been saturating the style stratosphere thanks to the upcoming Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie.

Catherine, Princess of Wales stepped out at the Foundling Museum in London on Thursday morning as part of her mission to highlight the effects of nurturing relationships in early childhood for her new initiative, Shaping Us.

Middleton continued her fight to emphasize the importance of the early childhood development, wearing a cotton candy-colored pink Alexander McQueen suit teamed with a matching soft salmon pink button-down blouse underneath and pointy-toe white pumps.

Adding to the iconic Mattel doll’s influence, Middleton belted her tailored trousers with a white belt featuring a dainty pearl buckle and sported a pair of tiny gold hoops with a drop pearl detail.

The royal styled her brunette strands in a bouncy blowout with voluminous waves, parted to the side. Middleton kept her makeup minimal for the occasion with a soft, subtle smokey eye, just a touch of eyeliner, blush and a pink lip.

Middleton has been loving the Barbie look lately. Last week she attended the 2023 Chelsea Flower Show wearing a two-toned rose pink button-down midi dress from sustainable British brand, ME + EM. She teamed her look with tan espadrille wedges with ankle ties.

Barbiecore was everywhere last summer, in part, thanks to Valentino’s Pink PP collection. Now that Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie is premiering soon (July 21), the trend is sure to see a resurgence.
