Kate Middleton and Prince William have been working nonstop since King Charles III’s coronation on Saturday. Ever since the grand affair, the duo have attended numerous events celebrating the occasion. On Sunday, they attended the Big Lunch outside Windsor Castle to boost community spirit. Later that day, they attended the Coronation Concert with Prince George and Princess Charlotte (Prince Louis sat that one out). Then, the family of five volunteered with the 3rd Upton Scout Group in Slough during Big Help Out on Monday. Now, Kate and William stepped out for the fourth day in a row to a host garden party and brought some old school glamour with their outfits.
On Tuesday, the Prince and Princess of Wales attended King Charles III’s Coronation Garden Party in the Buckingham Palace gardens and each pulled out all the stops in the style department in tea-ready looks.
Kate rewore an Elie Saab blue midi dress with sheer sleeves and bodice, plus a pussy bow accent and all-over embellishments. She matched her dress with a baby blue Philip Treacy wide-brim hat (another re-wear from the Royal Ascot in 2019) featuring a large flower and accessorized with Kiki McDonough statement circle earrings and metallic silver pointy-toe heels.
Looking dapper, William wore a black tailcoat, gray vest, blue tie and a black top hat.
The royals shared numerous snaps of the garden party on their joint Instagram account writing, “Celebrating people who do extraordinary things 🫖 🍰.”
Kate has been stepping out in style all weekend long. At the coronation, the Princess of Wales arrived to Westminster Abbey in a royal robe over her Alexander McQueen white dress that was embroidered with nods to the UK with rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock designs. She accessorized with sentimental jewelry once worn by Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana. She wore the Queen’s George VI Festoon Necklace, which was commissioned by Queen Elizabeth’s father George VI. The late monarch wore the piece numerous times including to state dinners. Kate honored her late mother-in-law by wearing her South Sea Pearl Earrings, which she’s worn on multiple other occasions, including Remembrance Sunday in November 2022 when she chose an outfit very similar to one Princess Diana wore to the service in 1991.
She matched her daughter, Princess Charlotte, 8, with their sparkling Jess Collett x Alexander McQueen headpieces. Charlotte also donned a white Alexander McQueen under an embroidered cape.
The next day, she chose another bespoke ensemble from Alexander McQueen’s atelier for the Coronation Concert. The red suit featured a bias cut single breast blazer with statement shoulders and an asymmetrical finish and matching cigarette pants.
