May the fourth be with you. Late Stars Wars actress Carrie Fisher was posthumously honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, May 4 (commonly known as Star Wars Day) and her daughter, Billie Lourd chose the perfect dress to pay tribute to her mother, who died in 2016.

The American Horror Story actress wore a maxi Rodarte slip dress with a black sequined-embellished top and a silky skirt emblazoned with a huge image of her mother in character as Princess Leia in the George Lucas sci-fi film franchise.

“We are so thrilled to work on this custom Princess Leia @starwars Gown for @praisethelourd for her presentation of Carrie Fisher’s Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” founding designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy wrote on Instagram. “What a beautiful addition to the Star Wars Gowns that we made for our FW14 Collection, and truly full circle, as we were able to interview Carrie back in 2014 when we first made the pieces. What an honor!”

The brand’s Fall/Winter 2014 collection featured a gown screened with images of Luke Skywalker, Yoda, C-3PO and R2-D2. In a 2014 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Fisher told the Mulleavy sisters, “I want to see a dress with Leia on it.”

Lourd sported a black starry manicure with an illustration of Fisher as Leia on her middle finger. The Booksmart actress posed alongside her mother’s co-star Mark Hamill, remakes of C-3PO and R2-D2, her husband Austen Rydell, father Bryan Lourd and the filmmaker J.J. Abrams, who spearheaded the latest Star Wars franchise.

The Scream Queens star wore her brunette tresses in a middle part with two little bunches of hair pulled back. Maintaining a luminescent complexion, Lourd wore silver metallic tears down her eyes, complementing her dangling diamond earrings.
