Ahhh, the Golden Globes. Not quite as prestigious as the Oscars or sartorially as high-stakes as the Met Gala, but it does bring its fair share of glamour. Celebrating achievements in film and television over the year, the awards ceremony calls upon Hollywood’s very best talent. And wherever they go, the fashion and beauty follow.
Though we don’t always agree with the wins and losses, we can all agree that the Golden Globes red carpet has delivered some of the most iconic fashion and beauty moments in red carpet history. So ahead of the 2024 Golden Globes ceremony—which marks the awards’ 81st year—GRAZIA looks back at some of the most memorable looks to come out of the awards show.

In one of the most memorable red carpet appearances of all time, we have a midriff-baring Cher in a printed two-piece, hoops and a fur coat, plus XXL hair and lashes. Oh, and Sonny was there too.

Have you ever seen Nicole Kidman look so iconic? For the 2004 Golden Globes, the Australian actress took a risk with hair that was equal parts 1970s bohemian and 1930s flapper style. Either way, it was a winner—and excellently paired with her sequined gown.

J-Law debuted her pixie crop right in the thick of awards season. She opted for a shimmering silver shadow with a deep berry lip and fluttery lashes to accentuate the new cut.
