Sydney Sweeney went for a chic and sleek look for her night out with her fiancé, restauranteur Jonathan Davino. On Wednesday, the couple stepped out for a romantic evening at the French eatery Cathédrale Restaurant in New York City and were photographed wearing matching all-black ensembles.
Davino adorned black sunglasses with a midnight suede jacket, plain black tee, matching slacks and black leather Chelsea boots. Sweeney opted for an ink-black cropped tuxedo jacket over a low-cut top and matching tailored flared trousers. The Euphoria actress teamed her look with hoop earrings, black glossy leather pumps embellished with a gold chain detailing and carried a small Saint Laurent pouch bag tied with gold hardware. She also notably wore her rarely-seen engagement ring for the occasion.
The star pulled her honey blonde tresses up into a high ponytail with tendrils from her curtain bangs framing her face.
Earlier in the day, Sweeney went for a more playful look in a cotton candy pink look.
She was out in the city promoting her new Bai water antioxidant infusion drinks campaign channeling the very best of the early-aughts, embodying Britney Spears or Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen circa Passport to Paris and Billboard Dad.
The actress wore a white and baby pink raglan Cotton On T-shirt with “Bai Babe” written across the chest, teamed with a matching pink miniskirt with detachable big cargo-style pockets that were longer than the super-short hemline, paired with Miu Miu mule kitten heels and rose-colored sunglasses.
Last month, Sweeney and Davino stepped out for a few stylist dates in the French Riviera while in Cannes during the film festival. The couple was first photographed arm-in-arm leaving the Hotel Martinez where eagle-eyed viewers spotted her engagement ring peeking out under her man’s arm. The sighting came almost a year since the last time she was seen sporting the sparkler publicly.
Sweeney and Davino’s engagement was announced in February 2022. The two have been linked since 2018, but famously keep their relationships under wraps and out of the spotlight.
The couple’s recent outings comes on the heels of romance rumors between Sweeney and her Anyone But You costar Glenn Powell. Throughout production of the movie, the two leads spent their free time living it up in Australia, going to amusement parks with the rest of the cast, visiting the zoo, attending football games and doing touristy sightseeing — all while posting to social media with one another.
Just when rumors swirled, Davino was photographed seemingly moving his things out of his shared home with Sweeney (boy’s golf trip, perhaps?). Then, news broke that Powell has broken up with his longtime girlfriend Gigi Paris.
Sometimes a rumor is just a rumor — and it looks like Sweeney and Davino are doing just fine.
