On Wednesday, Netflix hosted the world premiere of its latest blockbuster The Gray Man and stars made sure to bring show-stopping fashions to the carpet. There was Ana de Armas in metallic hues sandwiched between her costars Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans (we’re only a little bit jealous!) who gave standard suits a cool twist. Also in attendance was Bridgerton’s beloved Regé-Jean Page and Simone Ashley, as well as award-winning actress Alfre Woodard, The Underground Railroad’s Thuso Mbedu, Dhanush, Billy Bob Thornton, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’s Julia Butters, and The Matrix Resurrections actress Jessica Henwick.

The night also marked a nice reunion for de Armas, Gosling and Evans. The actress starred in 2017’s Blade Runner 2049 with Gosling and 2019’s Knives Out with Evans.

Directed by brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, The Gray Man is based on the 2009 spy thriller novel by Mark Greaney of the same name. When the CIA’s most esteemed private operative Court Gentry a.k.a. Sierra Six (portrayed by Gosling) discovers agency secrets, a psychotic former colleague puts a bounty on his head. An action-packed, international manhunt ensues.

“There’s been lots of great spies, and I think it was challenging but exciting to try and create one that was different,” Gosling told WWD. “He’s more of a blue collar Bond. He’s a working class guy. He’s not under any romantic ideas of what it’s like to be a spy, you know? He’s like an analog hero in a digital world. He doesn’t have tech, he doesn’t have gadgets, he has ingenuity and a sense of humor.”

The Gray Man opens July 22, but catch up on the best looks of the night, below.

Still rocking his iced platinum locks from his role as Ken in the forthcoming Barbie movie, Ryan Gosling stepped out in a bold custom Gucci ensemble, consisting of an aqua suit jacket and mint green slacks with a pale yellow striped button-down shirt and white lace-up dress shoes. As a TAG Heuer ambassador, the actor sported the brand’s Carrera Three Hands watch in steel with a black leather strap — the same that he adorned in the new film as the skilled assassin Court Gentry a.k.a. Sierra Six.

Ana de Armas

The Blonde actress opted for a shimmering bronze custom Louis Vuitton gown by Nicolas Ghesquière for the premiere, featuring a metallic bodice and a skirt with fringe strips of metallic leaflet paillettes. Styled by Samantha McMillen, de Armas adorned Fred Leighton diamond jewels with her mid-length brunette locks styled in loose, smooth waves by Jenny Cho. The star polished off her look with a natural, glowing makeup.

Chris Evans

As dashing as ever, Captain America star Chris Evans wore a tailored navy suit by Eleventy Milano. He paired it with a plain white tank beneath, showing off his personal style. Evans’ longtime stylist Ilaria Urbinati explained the look on Instagram. “Call it a vest, a tank, a beater (not particularly PC), an A-tee, a guinea tea (I can say that, I’m Italian), or call it whatever you want but we are into it with a suit these days, so here we are,” she wrote. Walking the carpet wearing a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses, the actor topped off his look with a gold medallion and black loafers from Mark Chris footwear.

Bridgerton actress Simone Ashley attended the premiere in a chic black Mônot dress with extreme cutouts, styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray. The British star paired her look with classic black pointy toe pumps and a rose gold and steel TAG Heuer Carrerera watch, with a mother-of-pearl dial, set with over 700 diamonds.
