There are a lot of perks of being a celebrity, one of which is the proximity you automatically get to other celebrities. Have a childhood crush on Justin Bieber? Just become the ultra famous Billie Eilish and one day you’ll be hugging him after your set at Coachella. Obsessed with Paul Mescal after watching Normal People? Just be Phoebe Bridgers and start a long-distance relationship with him after finding out he’s also a fan of yours.
But just because you have the access doesn’t always mean you’ll use it correctly. Case in point, Lizzo getting drunk and DM’ing her celebrity crush, Chris Evans, on Instagram.
After having a bit too much to drink, Lizzo revealed on TikTok that she’d gone and sent Evans—who she doesn’t actually know IRL—three emojis: a gust-of-wind, a woman-playing-basketball and some basketball emojis. As her fans quickly decoded, Lizzo was hilariously shooting her shot with the actor.
“Don’t drink and DM, kids…. for legal porpoises this is a joke,” she wrote underneath the video.

A day later, Lizzo updated fans on the DM situation, revealing Evans actually responded to her.
“No shame in a drunk DM😘,” he wrote in reply. “God knows I’ve done worse on this app lol🤦.” Evans is, of course, referencing when he accidentally shared a dick pic to his Instagram stories last year, sending the entire internet into a meltdown in doing so.
In the new video, Lizzo could be seen with her hand on her forehead as she slid her face down to unveil Evan’s message and show that he follows her back on Instagram. “BITCH,” she simply captioned it.
Of course, Lizzo’s been open for years about her love of the Avengers actor. In 2019, Evans responded to one of her videos on Twitter, in which she shared footage of her as a child.
“This kid is cooler than I could ever hope to be,” Evans wrote, to which Lizzo replied, “Wow marry me.”
