Known as Hollywood’s “recovery boyfriend,” Pete Davidson has been linked to some of the most talked-about women in the world. Now, the former Saturday Night Live comedian is speaking out about the media frenzy that follows his love life.

Davidson made a guest appearance on The Punisher actor Jon Bernthal’s podcast, Real Ones with Jon Bernthal, released on Pateron on Thursday. “I think what happened was, I became more known before the work was there,” he said about the public interest in his personal life. “But I was always working,. Look, I’m in my 20s and I’ve dated people and for some reason that is very crazy and interesting to people.”

Davidson continued, “I don’t think it’s that interesting. I’ve been in show business for half my life almost, for like 14, 15 years, and on a national TV show. And in 12 years, I’ve dated like 10 people, I don’t really think that’s that crazy,” adding, “But to some people it seems very interesting.”

Davidson explained that the attention was all the more confusing considering he wasn’t on social media showcasing his relationships.

“These people that I’ve dated, I’ve met them at work. Like, I wasn’t in anyone’s DMs, no one was in mine,” he said. “I worked at one of the five Hollywood epicenters where you meet people and that’s just who I was working with and who I was around.”

Davidson famously met ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian during her SNL hosting debut in October 2021, where they shared their first kiss on live television. The two would go on to date until August 2022, when they went their separate ways.

The King of Staten Island star also met his current girlfriend, Chase Sui Wonders on the set of their 2022 slasher movie Bodies Bodies Bodies.

Davidson went on to explain that he felt thrown into the “zeitgeist,” but the collective chatter had “zero to do” with his work as an actor and comedian. “That is a really s***ty feeling,” he said.

Davidson has been linked to comedian Carly Aquilino, writer Cazzie David, pop superstar Ariana Grande, actresses Kate Beckinsale and Margaret Qualley, model Kaia Gerber, Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor, reality star Kim Kardashian, model Emily Ratajkowski, and has been romantically linked to Sui Wonders since December 2022.
