The new season of Next in Fashion is almost here, and host Gigi Hadid is ready for her close up. The new addition to the show (she joins co-host Tan France) kicked off her press tour in New York City on Good Morning America wearing in a Valentino ensemble that puts a whole new spin on the term, “sweater weather.”
Hadid adorned a charcoal gray knit short-sleeve cropped sweater and a matching gray midi pencil skirt embellished with glittering floral appliqués that was held together on one side by three bows. She teamed it with some weather-appropriate accessories including sheer Calzedonia tights and matching gray elbow-length gloves.
She amped up the glam to counterbalance the look with red satin sling-back pumps, a pair of dainty, dangling tear-drop earrings and she slicked back her platinum blonde hair into a chic “wet” look.
Next in Fashion is making its way back to Netflix after a three-year hiatus between seasons 1 and 2. The supermodel is replacing Alexa Chung as France’s co-host, and will counsel a new roster of 12 fashion design contestants hoping to make their mark on the industry with the chance to win the grand prize of $200,000 to go toward their brand. Season 2 will debut on Netflix on March 3 with 10 episodes.
Fashion juggernauts such as Bella Hadid, Donatella Versace, Hailey Bieber, Isabel Marant, Olivier Rousteing, Candice Swanepoel and Emma Chamberlain will appear as guest judges.
On Saturday, Hadid shared a slew of Polaroids photos of herself wearing looks from the show. She captioned the post, “Can’t believe we are ONE WEEK away from sharing NEXT in FASHION Season 2 on @netflix! Here’s every look me ‘n my fairy-god-girls served up for you this season @cgonzalezbeauty @laurapolko @elizabethsulcer thank you for everything your talent and friendship brought to this experience. I love you 👯♀️👯♀️ 📺 TUNE IN MARCH 3rd y’allll❣️ @nextinfashion.”
While this season is sure to serve us plenty of outfit inspo from Hadid, the model is making her press tour a stylish tour de force as well, when she stepped out in two more head-turning looks on Monday. Styled by Elizabeth Sulcer, Hadid visited Times Square with France, wearing a black Mugler bodycon catsuit, knee-high leather boots, an oversized black leather moto jacket, and fingerless gloves, while decked out in diamonds.
Later, the dynamic duo hit the Today Show, with Hadid changing up her ensemble once again. This time, the model sported a khaki-colored set from Brandon Maxwell’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection, featuring a double-breasted blazer, a half-unbuttoned matching dress shirt and Bermuda shorts over sheer Calzedonia tights and shimmering silver pumps.
Hadid joins the likes of supermodels including Heidi Klum (Project Runway and Making the Cut), Tyra Banks (America’s Next Top Model) and Karlie Kloss (Project Runway) who have transitioned into hosting reality fashion competition series.
Next in Fashion lands on Netflix on March 3.
