Emma Watson has kept a pretty low profile in recent years, rarely walking red carpets or attending starry events, but this year, the British actress made an exception for Oscars night.
The beloved Harry Potter actress made a few stylish appearances on Hollywood’s biggest night, and really went all out, wearing not one, not two, but three different looks! For her first time on the Oscars scene since 2018, Watson made sure to provide us with a fashion feast.
The Little Women star began the night at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation’s 31st Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party in West Hollywood, wearing a black semi-sheer off-the-shoulder Gabriela Hearst floor-length knit dress. Watson amped up the glamour with a diamond tennis necklace and a silver bedazzled cat-shaped clutch from Roger Vivier. Hair pro Anh Co Tran styled her light brunette strands in loose waves and a side part.
Next, Watson appeared to have changed into an ethereal lace Fendi dress from the Italian fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2023 Couture collection. The sheer number featured a strapless column silhouette and attached off-the-shoulder cascading floor-length sleeves.
Watson shared the ensemble on her Instagram Stories, posing in front of a wooden spiral staircase with the same loose waves and side part that she sported to the Elton John viewing party. Styled by Djuna Bel, Watson accessorized with Pasquale Bruni drop earrings, plus a statement-making necklace and the same kitten clutch in-hand. She also tagged makeup artist Kate Synnott, who gave the star a dewy look and perfect pink lip.
Before the night’s end, Watson showed off a third look (with the same hairstyle in-tact) which put an inventive new twist on the classic black dress. The actress adorned a sleek ankle-length strapless Christopher Esber gown with a swirling, scalloped neckline.
It’s unclear where Watson wore her second and third looks, as she avoided any step-and-repeats and did not walk any red carpets. All we know, is that she ended up at afterparties somewhere, and looked chic-as-hell.
