It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for — after the 2023 awards show season, stars are hitting the red carpet at the 95th annual Academy Awards, and they saved their most glam, regal looks for last. There are plenty of custom creations at the 2023 Oscars red carpet, but undoubtedly, the biggest trend of the night was white, ethereal looks. From intricate embroidery to splashes of sparkle, many of our favorite stars went with an icy aesthetic. Of course, there were plenty of other standouts too, including a few head turning looks (have you seen Florence Pugh’s shorts?) and lots of dapper-looking dudes in sharp tuxedos.
See all of our favorite looks at the 2023 Oscars, below.
Rihanna

Continuing to put her baby bump on display, Rihanna wore a sheer bodycon Alaïa gown with a leather bandeau halter top, sheer turtleneck underneath and a low-rise draped leather floor-length skirt.
Michelle Yeoh

The Best Actress nominee for Everything Everywhere All at Once floated down the carpet in her feathery Dior Haute Couture gown made of ivory silk organza.
Halle Berry

After turning heads with her hair at the Oscars two years ago, the Academy Award-winner returned with glam side-swept classic curls and a head-turning Tamara Ralph white gown with rose accents along the neckline and at the hip, accentuating the thigh-high slit, plus a split train for dramatic effect. She paired it with metallic Jimmy Choo ankle-strap platforms and gold Pomellato earrings and rings.
Jessica Chastain

Always one to bring Old Hollywood glamour to the carpet, Chastain sparkled in a glittering strapless silver crystal and sequin Gucci gown with black long train, paired with a Gucci High Jewelry necklace with over 80 carats of tsavorites and diamonds.
Janelle Monàe

Mixing it up on the carpet with her black cropped top and bright orange draped skirt, the star teamed her custom Vera Wang creation with dazzling REZA diamonds.
Michelle Williams

The Best Actress nominee floated down the carpet in her custom Chanel white silk chiffon, cadi and tulle embroidered bustier dress with an ethereal sheer cape. To amp up the shine, she wore a Tiffany & Co. Tiffany Victoria necklace and bracelet with a Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger ring.
Nicole Kidman

Kidman was on-hand to present during the 2023 Oscars and turned heads before she walked on stage thanks to her custom Giorgio Armani Privé shimmering black gown completely embroidered in paillettes and featuring oversize silver beaded roses. She kept her hair in easy natural waves, and teamed her look with cutout heels, an Omega timepiece and Harry Winston diamond earrings, bracelets and ring.
Angela Bassett

The Best Actress nominee brought royal purple to the carpet in her custom Moschino organza hand-draped gown with bow-like neckline and mermaid-style skirt. To top her regal look, she wore Bulgari jewelry including a High Jewelry Serpenti necklace with over 69 carats of dimaonds and carried a Judith Leiber clutch.
Cate Blanchett

Continuing her sustainable streak by rewearing red carpet favorites throughout awards season, the Best Actress nominee wore a custom Louis Vuitton look for the night. Her draped asymmetrical blue velvet top was designed from a never-before-seen archival collection and the skirt was made from sustainable silk. She also wore earrings and rings from the Louis Vuitton High Jewelry collection.
Cara Delevingne

Turning the carpet into a runway, the model rocked her red Elie Saab Haute Couture gown featuring an asymmetrical neckline with one shoulder bow, dramatic overskirt and even more dramatic thigh-high slit, which she paired with matching Stuart Weitzman platforms and plenty of Bulgari jewels.
Mindy Kaling

MINDY KALING
It was said that the actress put her custom white Vera Wang gown through the “crinkle test” to see if it would wrinkle when she sat down. Clearly, her column skirt and bra top with sheer bodice passed the test.
Halle Bailey

The Little Mermaid star channeled another Disney princess — Cinderella — in her Dolce & Gabbana tulle confection, with De Beers jewelry including a necklace featuring over 74 carats of diamonds.
Jamie Lee Curtis

The newly-crowned Oscar winner shined like the star she is on the carpet in her curve-hugging long-sleeve Dolce&Gabbana column gown covered in high-shine embroidery.
Michael B. Jordan

Jordan’s tux got even cooler when he paired his custom Louis Vuitton look with Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger Bird on a Rock brooches, diamond studs, a limited-edition watch, tennis bracelet and two Tiffany Forever band rings.
Ariana Debose

ARIANA DEBOSE
After winning an Oscar last year, the star arrived in an intricately embroidered Atelier Versace white gown with plunging V-neck, high slit at the skirt, sheer sleeves and a billowing train. She accessorized with De Beers diamonds and an Omega watch.
Ana de Armas

The actress’ custom Louis Vuitton silver silk organza gown was embroidered with lurex and glass rhinestones that extended into a 3D degrade scalloped train. She also chose Louis Vuitton heels and High Jewelry pieces.
Austin Butler

Keeping his look classic and cool, Butler wore a double-breasted Saint Laurent tuxedo with a silk satin bow tie and zipped boots, with a Panthère de Cartier bracelet, ring and Cartier Collection ring.
Emily Blunt

Sleek, simple, but oh so chic, Blunt arrived in a classic Valentino white strapless gown with off-the-shoulder sleeves from the Pre-Fall 2023 collection, accessorized with jewelry from Chopard.
Harry Shum Jr.

Evoking an “East meets West style,” as Shum’s stylist Warren Alfie Baker put it, the actor wore an Adeam tux with peak lapel and traditional kimono-style sash.
