Elizabeth Hurley Versace
Elizabeth Hurley has been a style icon since the ‘90s, after donning some of the most dazzling and risqué gowns on the red carpet (we’ll get into that in a minute). Her most recent look from the weekend proved that the actress can still nail the dazzling and risqué look with ease.

Anyone who’s familiar with the Austin Powers actress knows she has an affinity for Versace — so naturally, when it came to celebrating her 57th birthday, she chose another Versace creation for her party.

Hurley shared photos of herself on Instagram ahead of her soirée, wearing a “Barbiecore“-ready pink sparkling dress that hugged her curves oh-so perfectly. The dress featured Versace’s signature all-around cutouts held together by mini gold chains.

“Having a @versace moment ❤️❤️,” she captioned the photo. Eagle-eyed fans may recognize the dress as a mash-up of two iconic Versace dresses that Hurley has worn over the last 28 years.

The first was her iconic 1994 Versace safety pin gown, which arguably put her on Hollywood’s most fashionable list for the years to come. The actress attended the premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral along with then-boyfriend Hugh Grant who starred in the film. The dress has such a long-lasting cultural impact (only next to the Versace’s iconic bondage dress) that several renditions have been seen throughout the years, including on today’s It-girls, like Lady Gaga in Milan in 2012 and FKA Twigs for London Fashion Week.

The second dress in question was a metal mesh gown that Hurley wore to the 1999 CFDA Awards. Both this dress and her birthday look pulled from the same fun, bubbly pink color palette with sequins all over.

Unlike her revamped birthday look, the ‘90s version was a floor-length gown featuring a risqué slit up to her thigh. If it isn’t already clear, Hurley is still a Versace girl through and through.
