Sole DXB is finally back after a long hiatus imposed by Covid-19, this year the event is back with a bang, and better than ever for their 10th year anniversary. Like every edition, this year too was a beautiful amalgamation of art in every form and an ode to the beautiful cultures around the globe to reflect the multicultural metropolis that is Dubai. 1. Hosted By Hassan Hajjaj

The 10th anniversary of the event was hosted by Moroccan multi-disciplinary artist and cultural icon Hassan Hajjaj, the artist’s work revolves around highlighting the beauty of his heritage utilising bold colours and patterns. The main entrance was just as vibrant as the artist’s work and welcomed guests to experience his wondrous world.

2. LINE UP OF TALENTED ARTISTS

This year’s line-up encompassed an array of talented artists from around the globe including some of the biggest names in the industry like: Jorja Smith, Central Cee, Amine, Ari Lennox, and Felukah along with local talent like Freek, Tac, Vzline and 1takenandos.

3. Brands From Around the globe

Sole DXB welcomed both international brands from Africa, London and Kuwait like: Grade Africa, Azeema magazine and Pacifism among others along with local brands like Shabab, Precious Trust and The Giving Movement.

4. Workshop at Les Benjamins

Dubai based artist Helena Hashim, hosted a workshop with Les Benjamins to teach everyone how to up-cycle old dead stock fabrics to make passport holders.

5. KETISH X PINK CARAVAN

Along with activations, Sole DXB collaborated with Dubai based brand Ketish who joined Pink Caravan to encourage woman to get free breast exams in order to raise awareness for breast cancer.

6. CROCS X SALEHE BEMBURY

The exclusive Pollex clog by American footwear designer Salehe Bembury, exclusively launched an edition of his collection with Crocs at Sole DXB this year, Bembury was also at the store for a meet and greet with fans on both Saturday and Sunday.

7. Talks with industry legends

Attendees got to partake in several talks ranging from art, photography and culture with some of the best in the industries like Hassan Hajjaj himself, Bas, Swopes and Emaan among others.

8. FOOD TO SUFFICE everyone’s CRAVINGS

Sole DXB invited several food ventures and trucks this year to allow everyone to get a taste of homegrown and international food concepts like: Pickl, Miss Lily’s and the latest Rascals, that features a menu full of the most delicious and instagrammable sandwiches.

9. Exclusive Sole DXB Merch

Sole DXB teamed up with Kappa to produced an exclusive ‘limited-edition football kit collection’ to celebrate the FIFA World Cup buzz that has taken over the region.

10. STREESTYLE FRENZY

Following the 2-year-hiatus, all the attendees ensured they put on their best ensembles to stand out from the crowd and emerge into the world of fashion.
