Off the back of the success of her first fragrance, Eilish, Billie Eilish has announced the launch of her second perfume, the aptly named Eilish No.2. Sharing the news with fans on Instagram, the ‘Ocean Eyes’ singer dropped a series of moody promotional shots from the fragrance campaign.
“Guess WHAAAAAAAAAT!!!!?!!?! Eilish No. 2 will be available tomorrow at 9am PT in the US,” the star wrote. “I couldn’t be happier with every piece of this. i’m beyond excited for you to have it.” The campaign featured Eilish dripping wet in the rain, which simultaneously served as the inspiration for the darker, sexier scent.
“I had these ideas of this kind of darker, rainy, gray world for Eilish No. 2, and wanting to incorporate the feeling of Eilish, with elements of that warmth and sweetness, but then with a spicy, woodsy twist for a more sultry and wet feeling,” she explained in a statement on the Billie Eilish fragrances website.
According to the site, Eilish No.2 is said to contain top notes of “the freshness of Italian bergamot and apple blossom” with heart notes of “woody, earthy spiciness of papyrus and black pepper contrast with the allure of wild poppy flower” accompanied by base notes of “woody aromatic palo santo and ebony are artfully wrapped in a veil of skin musk”.
Like the singer’s first fragrance, the bottle is inspired by the female form. In a statement released to media, Lori Singer, President of Parlux, said of the release, “The launch of Eilish was a worldwide success. It was exciting to see fans respond so enthusiastically to Billie’s debut fragrance, a scent that she had been chasing for years.”
She continued, “As a passionate fragrance enthusiast, Billie was excited to develop her new scent, took time out of her busy schedule to come to the fragrance lab to meet and work directly with the perfumer. Billie knew exactly what she wanted to create; a wet, rainy, sultry, woody floral scent called Eilish No.2.”
Eilish No.2 is now available to shop in the US on the brand’s website. As for when it will land in Australia? All our fingers are crossed for an update soon.
