Overnight in Santa Monica, the celebrity go-to Giorgio Baldi wasn’t just slinging up plates of piping hot crab risotto for Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s growing brood.
Indeed, the seaside Italian haunt played host to one of the most dissected girls’ nights since Taylor Swift’s star-studded 4th of July party, with supermodels and super moguls Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber taking to the locals-only retreat for dinner.
If Signore Baldi himself was interested in pitching a television show about his frequent A-lister clientele, it’s safe to say he has found his Giorgio’s Angels in Bieber, Jenner and Hadid.
The trio of models-turned-entrepreneurs first became close in 2015 as Phoebe Philo-era Celine luggage tote welding burgeoning nepo babies. However, it’s been several years since the close friends have been spotted dining all together outside of work commitments.
For their rendezvous, it’s clear the style savants looked to an ‘anything goes’ dress code for their girls’ night rather than meticulously coordinating their ensembles.
With Beiber and Jenner just returning from a girls’ trip to Baja California to celebrate Justine Sky’s 27th Birthday in Cabo San Lucas, the pair leant into balmy, sun-soaked silhouettes compared to Hadid’s more streetwise Manhattanite look.
Sartorially referencing the blistering Mexican sun, Bieber sported a white vintage Versace mini dress emblazoned with a fluorescent graffiti-style circular print.
Staying true to her signature repertoire of accessories, Bieber completed her look with a tangerine Bottega Veneta leather pouch, the brand’s coveted gold teardrop earrings and strappy white sandals.
Jenner departed from her sensual evening wear aesthetic for something more minimal.
Looking to luxury Chinese brand Shang Xia, Jenner opted for the third look from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection, which is exclusively available to purchase from SSENSE.
The analogous aesthetic featured layered pieces of stretch viscose jersey to create a tiered silhouette that cascaded from sea mist to sky blue and lilac. Jenner also followed in Bieber’s footsteps by finishing the outfit with white tie-up heels.
As for Hadid, the mother of one remained firm in her striped-down, downtown New York style with her look.
Proving that ‘jeans and a nice top’ is not only an honest agade but a timeless outfit, Hadid sported a pair of raw hem denim jeans, a black leather bandeau complete with a painted fish motif and Miu Miu penny loafers.
Safe to say, the girls have come a long way from their original style era (see below). If only they could see themselves now.
