Purveyor of partywear Hailey Bieber has piqued our 90s nostalgia once again with a series of looks across recent weeks; stretch minis, low slung tailored pants, matching crop and skirt duos, the lists goes on. But the common denominator of all these flashbacks? They are all designed by Australians—and we couldn’t be prouder.
From socks with sandals and date night outfits, to cementing herself as both the lead apostle of the latte makeup trend and queen of the 2023 bob cut, Bieber’s style influence is unmatched.
The 26-year-old stepped out in Dion Lee’s Safety Slider Gathered Mini Skirt in July. Bieber teamed its asymmetrical trailing hem with the brand’s matching Gathered Tank and an oversized leather jacket—just like the designer styled it on his Spring 2023 runway at Hudson Commons, New York, in September.
Elsewhere, Bieber was spotted on the streets of Los Angeles, not once but twice in a pair of sandcastle brown, wide-legged tailored pants by Camilla and Marc. The brand have long been known for their impeccable tailoring which, as you can see on Bieber, means whatever you style these hip-grazing trousers with, you will look sleek and sophisticated.

One of our favourite looks this month was Bieber’s Venroy number, a mini made from slinky jersey. With asymmetrical ruching over the bust and a panelled twist detail at the hip, it’s the ultimate party or date night dress. Justin must have loved.

If you’re venturing abroad for the European summer, take a leaf out of Bieber’s Book Of Vacation Style and check Australian brand Bond-Eye. Almost everything they make is from a crinkle-cut knit which means its super flattering on the body. And nothing said 90s like a Barbie pink halter mini dress.

In early July, Bieber copied Emily Ratajkowski in a crop and skirt so 90s, it would give Rachel Leigh Cook in She’s All That a run for her money.
