Promoting her latest film, actress Zoë Kravitz made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where she played a few games, showed some childhood videos and dished on her role as Selina Kyle in the forthcoming superhero flick, Matt Reeves’ The Batman, out this Friday.

Donning two incredibly polished and sleek looks, Kravitz made her entrance in an ensemble from Saint Laurent’s Resort 2022 collection consisting of black turtleneck sweater and a crimson fringe-trimmed pencil skirt courtesy of her right-hand man, stylist Andrew Mukamal.

Then, she switched things up, changing into to a second ensemble consisting of a black short-sleeve mock neck crop top with tapered black trousers. The looks may not have been direct nods to her Batman character, like her recent red carpet dresses were, but they were sleek and cool, just like Kravitz.

During her time on The Tonight Show, she chatted about what it was like to screen test with Robert Pattinson and her process behind nailing the role. Laughing over the fact that Pattinson was Batman “from the waist up” while reading over the script, the actor apparently donned sweatpants and the top half of George Clooney’s Batman suit from his 1997 film Batman & Robin.

Discussing how she studied cats and had regularly scheduled “cat time” with the felines featured in the film, Kravitz watched an ample amount of fighting cat videos and joked about drinking milk out of a bowl like a cat. “I’m method, dude,” she stressed to Fallon.

Explaining that her character in The Batman film is not yet a fully formed Catwoman, the feature provides a look into her origin story as the thieving Selina Kyle. The film picks up about two years into Bruce Wayne’s journey as Batman. Still in his early days, the story depicts the Caped Crusader tracking down a serial killer who has set his sights on Gotham City. As Pattinson’s Batman follows the clues, he’s lead to a night club in which Selina Kyle (Kravitz) works.

In theaters everywhere this Friday, we can’t wait to see Pattinson and Kravitz join forces for the next installment of the DC cinematic universe.
