Some things never go out of style: a perfectly tailored blazer, a great pair of sunglasses, and the kind of five-star hotel where the staff remembers your name and champagne is never far away. For Spring/Summer 2027, luxury eyewear brand Linda Farrow is bringing all three together with “Room Service,” a new collection inspired by the glamorous world of London’s grand hotels.

Think polished wood, plush lounges, mirrored cocktail bars, and the unapologetic indulgence of 1970s hotel life. It’s a world where dressing for breakfast is practically an event, sunglasses are perfectly acceptable indoors, and a little extravagance is always encouraged.

The collection draws its color palette from these richly appointed interiors, incorporating scarlet, warm taupe, deep brown, and burnt orange. The result is a lineup of frames that feels decidedly retro without looking like it belongs in a vintage shop.

Of course, Linda Farrow has a serious history of making eyewear fashionable. Founded in 1970 by the British fashion designer of the same name, the label was among the first to approach sunglasses as an essential fashion accessory rather than simply a practical way to shield one’s eyes from the sun. More than five decades later, that philosophy remains firmly intact.

For the new season, the brand is revisiting its archives with the return of its Heritage Logo, an original white lens insignia used throughout the 1970s. Applied in fine white ink to the Janine, Kim, Stevie, and Nana sunglasses, the detail is a subtle nod to the label’s beginnings, recognizable to those familiar with its history.

There are also some notable technical updates. The Meret frame returns with photochromic lenses by Barberini, which adapt to changing light conditions, making them particularly useful for days that begin over lunch and end somewhere considerably more interesting. Meanwhile, the Marcelo and Sadie sunglasses feature lenses plated with genuine precious metal, lending them an almost jewelry-like finish.

Elsewhere, the collection offers plenty of options for those who believe bigger is generally better when it comes to sunglasses. The Helena and Suki deliver classic oversized silhouettes, while the Ada takes a more sculptural approach with rimless construction and beveled lenses. The Flavia offers a timeless cat-eye shape, and the Crosby reinterprets the oversized aviator, another enduring favorite.

Every frame is handcrafted in Japan, continuing the brand’s emphasis on meticulous construction and quality materials. It’s an important distinction in a category where sunglasses can sometimes feel more like disposable accessories than pieces worth keeping.

The accompanying lookbook brings the concept to life with champagne flutes, room-service trays, tailored eveningwear, and models lounging in hotel suites. There’s a distinctly cinematic quality to the imagery, as though the subjects have just returned from a fabulous evening out—or are preparing for another one.

And perhaps that’s what makes “Room Service” so appealing. These are sunglasses designed for more than a day at the beach. They’re equally suited to a leisurely lunch, an afternoon of shopping, or a spontaneous weekend somewhere fabulous.

After all, checking into a five-star hotel is always a pleasure. Looking like you belong in the penthouse suite? Even better.
