Zoë Kravitz Brings Feline Finesse to ‘The Batman’ Red Carpet with an Ode to Catwoman
From Zoë Kravitz to Julia Fox and Tommy Dorfman, ‘The Batman’ N.Y.C. premiere was met with a star-studded array of guests paying homage to the iconic comic book characters
As Zoë Kravitz continues to channel her inner Catwoman, she’s kicking it up a notch and taking things a bit more literal. Perfectly embodying the Gotham City villainess, Kravitz stepped out on The Batman red carpet in style. With many of the guests incorporating Batman references throughout their outfit choices, Kravitz’s ensemble proved to be the purr-fect fit.
Opting for custom Oscar de la Renta, co-creative directors Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia created the black velvet lace-up corset column gown, with cutouts scooping down to her navel, ideal for paying tribute to her iconic character, Selina Kyle. Completed with two panels sculpted into cat motifs at the bust, many have noted that a similar Helmut Lang design from 1989 comes to mind, which may have been a source of inspiration.
Styled by Andrew Mukamal, Kravitz has successfully infused Catwoman into her sartorial DNA, paying tribute to her iconic Batman character.
After debuting her baby bangs at The Batman’s London premiere last week, Kravitz now parted them down the middle with a singular curl taking center stage, emphasizing her particular feline finesse.
She was joined by her impressive and starry group of costars, including Robert Pattinson, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, and Jeffrey Wright to Andy Serkis, Peter Sarsgaard, Barry Keoghan, and Jayme Lawson.
With attendees like Julia Fox, Evan Mock, and Tommy Dorfman all opting for garments from Lanvin’s Spring/ Summer 2022 assortment, the collection was riddled with themes of vintage Batman comics dating back to the 1940s.
