In the latest episode of And Just Like That, viewers got to witness Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mr. Big’s ex Natasha Naginsky (Bridget Moynahan) come face to face after all these years.

After learning that Big — who died from a heart attack after working out on his Peloton — left his ex a hefty sum of money, Carrie tracks her down as she wants to know if they have been in touch. She then spirals out of control, thinking of the worst scenarios in her head, and after trying to get a meeting with Natasha, she is turned down.

At a random coffee shop on the Upper West Side, Carrie walks in on Natasha in the bathroom and ends up spilling a very hot drink on herself. The encounter was awkward, to say the least, but it seems like Natasha had no idea why Big would leave her money — especially since they hadn’t spoken in quite some time.

So, will viewers get to witness more cringey moments going forward? Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem likely.

“I wish it was more left open, but I don’t see that they go back to that,” the Blue Bloods star told Elle magazine. “Nobody’s expressed anything. It felt like a nice closure, but it wasn’t so final as a heart attack. If they wanted to bring something back, they certainly could. I’m just plugging away at Blue Bloods for now. We’re in season 12, so we’ll wrap that up and hopefully they’ll bring us on for a lucky 13.”

While some may still be upset that Big is no longer in the picture (RIP), the brunette beauty believes his death “made sense.”

“It’s part of life — it’s part of the lives of women and men of a certain age. It’s what’s happening. To me, it was like, ‘OK, this is the way that they’re jumping into it, ripping off the Band-Aid.’ Good for them [for] being bold and being real,” she shared. “I’m seeing friends of mine have real emotional, grieving responses to the first two episodes. Like, sobbing. These characters have been part of people’s lives for so long and they have really gotten invested in the characters’ lives; they are grieving for someone they feel like they have known.”

It’s no secret that Carrie and Natasha have some bad blood — she walked in on them having an affair, after all — but Moynahan is happy to see that her character “has moved on and has the life that she probably had imagined that she and Big would’ve been having: getting married, having kids, having the kids in private schools, going to the Hamptons, whatever that fantasy was for her, she’s created it with somebody who does love, honor, and respect her,” she said.

She added, “For her to be able to recognize that it wasn’t all Carrie’s fault — Big loved Carrie, he always was in love with Carrie — for her to say that to Carrie and say it out loud feels like a nice close for them.”

For now, it looks like Natasha is in the past!
