After all the many rumours and wardrobe changes, the highly-anticipated Sex and the City reboot “And Just Like That” is finally here. Well, nearly. Overnight HBO Max released the official full-length trailer to the forthcoming series which will premiere on streaming services globally from December 9.
As promised, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis will reprise their roles of Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte, respectively, while we will see an influx of new character arcs played by the likes of Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, and Karen Pittman. Other original favourites include Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler and the late Willie Garson who will appear in episodes filmed prior to his heartbreaking passing.

According to the official synopsis (which I’m sure you’ve read many times) the film “follows Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.”
Last week we received new information regarding how ex co-star Kim Cattrall will be written into the plot. A source for Daily Mail disclosed, “We couldn’t have Samantha roaming around New York City and not have the other women (Charlotte and Miranda) not interacting with her. It just wouldn’t have made sense.”
The insider continued, “Sending her to Los Angeles wasn’t an option as we’d done that in the first movie, so having her character based in London really was the perfect way to keep her alive and explain her absence. “Viewers will learn that she is thriving in England even though she has fallen out with Carrie.”

Early on during production it was reported that Parker, Nixon and Davis who also serve as executive producers on the reboot are set to earn over $1 million USD per episode. The series comprises of 10 half-hour episode with the finale set to air on February 3, 2022.
