Much like her Euphoria character Cassie, Sydney Sweeney has never, ever been happier. It’s for this reason that the 27-year-old actress is holding off exchanging vows with her 40-year-old fiancé, Jonathan Davino.
Sweeney’s personal life has piqued the interest of many this past year, especially considering her close working relationship with her Anyone But You co-star, Glen Powell. But despite rumours of infidelity and concerns of an age gap, Sweeney has settled doubts about the strength of her and Davino’s romance by sharing a rare update on their wedding plans.
The tidbit? Sydney Sweeney isn’t going to the chapel to get married. Anytime soon, at least.
The upcoming Madame Web star revealed to the press earlier this week that they’ve placed organising their nuptials on the back burner for the time being. “I am so busy working!” Sweeney said. “I’m a workaholic and I love it, I love it,” she continued.
Though the pair don’t have a wedding date in sight, Sweeney confirmed they have a plethora of other projects in the works. For the unaware, Davino works in tandem with Sweeney under her production company, Fifty Fifty Films.
The pseudo studio banner, which launched in 2020, has had a hand in bringing films like Anyone But You or the upcoming psychological horror Immaculate—which also stars The White Lotus alumni Simona Tabasco—to the big screen.
Sweeney divulged that while their busy schedule has impeded their ability to plan a ceremony, she wouldn’t have it any other way.
“I think it’s incredible being able to work with people who you wanna be in business with,” Sweeney said of Davino. “It’s amazing having someone who cheers you on and someone who fully just supports what you do.”
Davino reportedly proposed to Sweeney in March of 2022. The pair had previously been dating for four years after meeting in 2018.
