While Sydney Sweeney‘s character, Cassie, doesn’t have the best of luck when it comes to her love life in Euphoria, the blonde beauty can’t say the same.
Earlier this week, the actress was spotted wearing a huge rock on that finger, and on Wednesday, March 2, PEOPLE confirmed she is engaged to Jonathan Davino.
So, what is Davino’s deal?
The two were first photographed together at an InStyle dinner in 2018. Since then, the duo have stayed under the radar, which is how Sweeney approaches her personal life.
“I don’t date people in the spotlight,” the 24-year-old told Cosmopolitan in her February 2022 cover interview. “I don’t date actors or musicians or anyone in entertainment because I can just be normal Syd that way and it’s easiest.”
“I have a great support system. I have people who will battle for me and allow me to be on the pedestal and shine without making me feel like, ‘Oh no, I’m shining too bright and I need to step back.’ I look for a best friend. I need to be able to be with someone who I can literally hang out with 24/7 and never get sick of and we laugh every single day.”
Jonathan, 37, who is a restauranteur, lives in Chicago, Cosmopolitan UK reported, and in 2019, Sweeney teased that she could settle down in the Midwest one day. “I have a place there,” she said at the time. “It’s like my getaway place.”
These days, the Washington native has embraced playing Cassie on Euphoria, though it can be tough at times.
“I’m able to just jump in and out … [I] basically break away all walls of protection. It’s a very healthy method for me, because if I had to stay in that mindset before [scenes], I don’t think I’d be able to go home as Syd in the healthy way,” she revealed.
“Sometimes I don’t even remember filming something because I’m so engrossed in the character,” she added.
Since Sweeney has such an incredible fashion sense, we can’t wait to see what she will wear to her upcoming nuptials!
