Rihanna is a mom! After wow’ing fans with her bump-baring pregnancy style the past few months, the superstar singer has welcomed her first child with boyfriend A$AP Rocky, TMZ reports.
According to the outlet, the couple welcomed a baby boy into the world on May 13. Rihanna broke the internet earlier this year when she announced the news of her pregnancy with a photoshoot in New York City, wearing a Chanel bubblegum pink puffer jacket that was left unbuttoned down the middle to reveal her bare bump.
Throughout her entire pregnancy she’s been redefining what maternity style encompasses, choosing looks that accentuates her growing belly, something she knew she wanted to embrace from the start.
“When I found out I was pregnant, I thought to myself, there’s no way I’m going to go shopping in no maternity aisle. I’m sorry—it’s too much fun to get dressed up. I’m not going to let that part disappear because my body is changing,” she said in an interview with Vogue.
Rihanna went on to say that she wants her looks to help change the culture around maternity dressing. “I’m hoping that we were able to redefine what’s considered ‘decent’ for pregnant women,” the star said. “My body is doing incredible things right now, and I’m not going to be ashamed of that. This time should feel celebratory. Because why should you be hiding your pregnancy?”

Rihanna kept up that unconventional way of thinking for her baby shower too. Instead of pastels and animal-shaped decor, she kept things classic with a bash at her go-to spot, Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, in a YSL bra and Alexander Wang hot pants, no less.
She told the outlet, while there’s nothing wrong with traditional baby shower themes, it just wasn’t for her. “Personally, I want a party. I want everyone to be plastered and crawling out. And it’s got to be co-ed! Don’t put me on no wicker chair somewhere with gifts at my feet where everyone is staring at me,” she said.
