Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima made a memorable red carpet appearance at the 75th annual Cannes Film Festival in a bump-baring Balmain dress.
The Victoria’s Secret vet attended the Top Gun: Maverick screening at the Palais des Festivals on Wednesday, with her partner, film producer Andre Lemmers, in a look that gave an updated spin on traditional maternity wear.
Taking a note from Rihanna‘s play book, Lima chose a strong-shoulder, long-sleeve ruched dress with a special stomach cutout to accomodate her growing bump.
Ever since Rihanna announced her pregnancy sporting an unbuttoned bubblegum pink Chanel puffer jacket exposing her bump, the star has strayed from expected pregnancy style, and has opted for a bunch of skin-baring looks instead, setting off a new trend in maternity wear.
Stars like actress Shay Mitchell have given belly-baring looks a spin during her pregnancy, and Lima has been showing her bump too. Lima walked the Alexander Wang runway in April wearing a black bralette, shrunken cardigan that exposed her midriff on the catwalk. She also posed for the cover of Elle Brazil sans clothes, wearing just layered chains across her abdomen.
Lima is expecting her third child, her first boy. The model shares her daughters Valentina, 12, and Sienna , 9 with her ex-husband Marko Jarić.
