We’re dubbing Rihanna the Queen of the statement coat. While the Grammy-winner may be a woman of many talents, her penchant for lavish and eye-catching winter-wear is particularly unmatched. Stepping out in New York City last night, Rihanna couldn’t be missed in her fluffy and bright orange shearling overcoat, worn with a matching orange hoodie and camo trousers.

Spotted entering the Flight Club shoe store, the Fenty entrepreneur clearly has her shoe game on lock as well. Rihanna paired her ensemble with crystalized monogram stiletto pumps from Gucci and Balenciaga’s “Hacker project.”

Recently seen out and about with her beau A$AP Rocky, Rihanna‘s inclination towards plush and luxe has meant the star has sported everything from archival Jean Paul Gaultier parkas, vintage coats from Fall/Winter 2000 Dior by John Galliano, heavy shearlings and fuzzy pink faux-furs in the middle of summer. Even her Balenciaga 2021 Met Gala look could be considered statement outerwear.

Her stylish sighting came hot off the heels of a major charitable announcement. Rihanna reportedly just donated $15 million to aid in the fight against climate change. Working through her non-profit organization the Clara Lionel Foundation (named after her grandparents Clara and Lionel Braithwaite), Rihanna delivered funds to over 18 different foundations that specialize in climate resistance in partnership with Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey’s charitable initiative #StartSmall.

Always knowing what it takes to make jaws drop and heads turn, each stylish stroll Rihanna takes provides a masterclass in cold weather dressing.
