Pamela Anderson’s singular image permeated the 1990s zeitgeist thanks to those slow-motion runs on the sandy beaches in her iconic red one-piece swimsuit on Baywatch. She was immediately hailed as the sex symbol of the decade, and that swimsuit is still a timeless sexy staple today.

So much so that the actress, model and newly minted author has partnered with the L.A.-based swimwear label Frankies Bikinis to create her very first swimwear collection, paying homage to her most iconic suits.

“I have been in a bathing suit for most of my life,” Anderson said in an official release. “Based on some of my all-time favorites and treasured archives, I created my dream collection – I took everything I loved and put them into these pieces – the high-cut leg, one-pieces with buttons, long ties on the bottoms, cute fabrics and colors, and more.”

Anderson and the founder and creative director of Frankies Bikinis, Francesca Aiello resurrected Anderson’s unforgettable Baywatch red high-cut scoop-neck one-piece, along with the white string bikini Anderson famously wore in Cancun, Mexico after her wedding to Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee in 1995. Their goal was to “recreate pieces that Pamela once loved and lived in.”

Aiello grew up with Anderson and Lee’s two children, Brandon Thomas, 26, and Dylan Jagger, 25 in the small Malibu beach community of Paradise Cove.

In a new interview, Anderson recalls, “Frankie was making little bathing suits when I was there and putting bathing suits in my mailbox.”

Making history as the youngest designer to ever showcase her designs at Miami Beach Fashion Week at just 19 years old in 2014, Aiello has become a swimwear icon in her own right. She just collaborated with two other legends, Gigi Hadid and Sydney Sweeney, with their own capsules.

Anderson announced the collab on Instagram writing, “It’s about time – I have been so excited to share this with you. I’m horrible at keeping a secret -Time went so slowly… But today, after a long year -I can tell you.”

She continued, “All my favorite ideas and tricks of the trade -All mixed into my swimwear collaboration with @frankiesbikinis -A dream come true – And who better to do this with than the sweetest girl from Paradise Cove ( @francescaaiello ) She grew up before my eyes, with my boys -our story is authentic and unique. The Frankies Bikinis mogul shared in a release, “Pamela is truly beautiful inside and out, she exudes strength, kindness, love for all living things. I have looked up to her for as long as I can remember, and to be able to work on a swimwear line together is an absolute dream come true for me.”

Aiello also took to social media to say, “I truly can’t even find the words to express my gratitude to all that worked on this project. To know Pam is to love her.” She continued, “We met when i was a kid in our little trailer park in Malibu, a real full circle moment for the two of us. This collection is a reflection of all things Pamela, & all things paradise cove. cannot wait to share more.”
