Just when we didn’t think Sydney Sweeney was busy enough — she lands a new design collaboration. The Euphoria actress teamed with the L.A.-based swimwear label Frankies Bikinis and created its “sexiest collection yet.”
Dubbed, “Love Letters by Sydney Sweeney,” the line is inspired by Italian summer romance and showcases Sweeney’s custom design details thought each of the pieces, from intricate embroidery and dainty lace to delicate beading, eyelet fabrications and ruffle jacquards.
The feminine variety of swimwear and ready-to-wear lingerie pieces all feature sensual and skimpy silhouettes, mixed with an array of cheeky prints, from cherries to an exclusive kiss motif including Sweeney’s very own lips. “Lipstick by yours truly 💋 3.14 @frankiesbikinis,” Sweeney wrote on Instagram.
She also shared a sultry video modeling the looks and captioned it, “Love Letters by me 💌 introducing my collection with @frankiesbikinis inspired by the girl who follows her heart ♥️ drop 1 coming 3.14.”
After the first drop on March 14, a second is coming in early April. For the campaign, shot by photographer by Sonia Szóstak, the Emmy-nominated actress and producer posed wearing the “sexiest ever” collection (as the brand put it) in Rome — which really amped up the already romantic aesthetic.
The lipstick print one-piece swimsuit features a dramatic torso cutout and a wrap-around waist, reminiscent of the hot pink Gemma Wrap suit Sweeney wore in the second season of the HBO smash hit Euphoria.
Frankies Bikinis founder and creative director Francesca Aiello said in a statement, “The second I saw the episode of Sydney wearing the Gemma one-piece, I immediately envisioned a collaboration for Sydney to create pieces that truly embody her gorgeous femininity, her bombshell romantic aura, not to mention her numerous talents.” Aiello expressed her gratitude on Instagram, writing, “Bringing this collection to life and shooting this at a castle in Rome will be something I will cherish forever.”
The brand teased the exciting collab throughout a series of posts on Instagram. First, there was a picture of two action-figures in Sydney Sweeney x Frankies Bikinis swimsuits with the caption, “soon to be life-size. can you guess who our next collaboration is with?”
Next, Frankies Bikinis posted a black-and-white video of Sweeney’s body in the swimsuits without revealing her face. Hiding behind lace curtains and veils, the video showcased Sweeney’s glittering accessories from an oversized cross necklace, dangling earrings and thigh-high stockings for an added dose of va-va-voom. The caption read, “your second hint… any guesses?”
Later, the brand posted a photo of Aiello and Sweeney’s derrières, as they looked out the window writing, “A match made in heaven. Your third + final hint.” Finally, the label posted a photo of Sweeney lifting a veil over her face. “Tomorrow, we unveil a collaboration unlike any other.”
“I’m so excited for my collection with Frankies to be released. We really wanted to make pieces that, when worn, make you feel like your most romantic and sexy self” Sweeney said in a statement.
With select styles available in sizes from XS to XXL, the first batch of the collection will drop on frankiesbikinis.com on March 14, while the second drop will be released in early April 2023.
