Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Sofia Richie married Elliot Grainge in the South of France over the weekend, and her big sister, Nicole Richie, was right by her side. In fact, the House of Harlow 1960 founder provide some very special bling to Sofia’s bridal look.
Nicole brought that little “something new,” by creating a special pair of custom bespoke House of Harlow diamond teardrop earrings for Sofia’s wedding weekend.
The Simple Life star shared sweet photos on Instagram of Sofia’s rehearsal dinner look writing, “Bespoke @houseofharlow1960 diamond earrings. Making these earrings for my sister is a moment I will never forget.”
In a string of three more photos, Nicole shared intimate snapshots putting the earrings on her little sister and then sharing a hug before the rehearsal dinner.
Sofia and her music executive husband said “I do” in a lavish ceremony surrounded by their loved ones at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, and just as suspected, the bride chose Chanel for the big day.
Sofia wore not one, not two, but three different custom creations throughout the celebrations. To kick things off, she chose a high-neck, sheer long-sleeve dress for the rehearsal dinner that featured all-over beaded fringe that dangled off the dress.
For her walk down the aisle, Sofia wore a halter-style gown covered in white sequins which was inspired from a look in the Chanel Fall 2023 collection. The bride called the gown “magic,” in an interview with Vogue, and pointed out some sentimental nods added to the custom look, including heart shapes on the bodice and on the skirt, plus the embroidery of “S&E” with the date for her “something blue.”
The bride told the outlet, “I always had this vision of the big princess dress, and going big, but as I got older, I realized that I wanted something a bit more simple. Maybe ‘simple’ isn’t the right word because my dress definitely is not simple!”
For the ceremony, Nicole wore an archival archival strapless black Donna Karen gown with sculptural shoulder, low back and long train, with her hair slicked back into a tight bun with a side-part, showing off a similar pair of earrings.
The proud sister shared a photo fixing the bride’s train before the ceremony with the caption, “I love you more than anything 
.”
The 24-year-old bride has been romantically linked to the 29-year-old son of Sir Lucian Grainge, the chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group, since going Instagram official in March of 2021.
When Entertainment Tonight reported the news of the couple’s relationship in April 2021, the outlet said that Sofia and Grainge “have been friends for years and Elliot is also close with Sofia’s brother, Miles,” noting her family’s approval.
