It’s been seven years since Australian model Miranda Kerr and English actor Orlando Bloom separated. In that time, they have proven over and over again to be the pin-up parents for co-parents, remaining wonderfully amicable in the interest of their shared son Flynn, 9.

It’s a relationship even Katy Perry – Bloom’s current partner – has commented on. “[Miranda and Orlando have done] an incredible job raising [Flynn]… he’s just so sweet and gentle, and that is a product of his parents for sure,” she said.

Kerr, 37 – who is now married to Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel, 30, and has two sons with him, Hart and Myles – congratulated Perry and Bloom on the birth of their daughter Daisy Dove Bloom yesterday.

While the model and beauty mogul liked her ex-husband’s Instagram post, she made the effort to especially comment on Perry’s. “I’m so happy for you guys. Can’t wait to meet her,” Kerr wrote, accompanied by the love heart, rainbow and thank you emojis.

Perry and Bloom – who are both Goodwill ambassadors – decided to announce their daughter’s arrival by setting up a UNICEF donation page on behalf of their daughter and re-gramming UNICEF’s post on their personal accounts.

The post read:⠀

“We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter.”

“But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was. Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes. Since COVID-19 many more newborn lives are at risk because of the increased lack of access to water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent diseases. As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever.

“As UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors, we know UNICEF is there, on the ground, doing whatever it takes to make sure every expecting mother has access to a trained health worker and access to quality healthcare. In celebration of the heart we know our daughter already has, we have set up a donation page to celebrate DDB’s arrival. By supporting them, you are supporting a safe start to life and reimagining a healthier world for every child. We hope your love can bloom with generosity.

Gratefully, Katy & Orlando.”

It’s not the first time we’ve seen Kerr and Perry get along. Take a look at this video of Kerr gifting Perry some skincare for her birthday, while a cheeky Bloom can be heard saying “Oh it’s Kora” [Kerr’s brand] before laughing.
