The world media went into overdrive over night – they were already in gear one given Justin Bieber tattooed his face. But things stepped up another notch in the Selena-Justin-Miranda-Orlando-Katy saga when TMZ released these photos of Bloom and Gomez.
The photos were reportedly taken on Friday night at Light in Mandalay Bay at Gomez’s after-party for her Vegas concert. We know this is the night because she is wearing the same slip dress as she posted on Instagram captioned “After my first show in Vegas”.
According to TMZ, sources say the 23-year-old singer and the 39-year-old actor were getting extremely close and “touchy-feely” before Bloom began “neck-nuzzling and embracing in a booth”. While the singer allegedly “absolutely” went back to her room, Bloom may have a little to answer for to girlfriend Katy Perry.
But we’re putting this down to media hype for a couple of reasons:
ONE Bloom and Gomez have been friends for two years since his breakup with Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr. At the time, Gomez had also split from boyfriend Justin Bieber who was rumoured to have been with Kerr. Clubs are loud, you need to lean in to hear your friends. The footage is too grainy to specify the difference between “neck-nuzzling” and “I actually just can’t hear you! What did you say again?” Also, friends sometimes hug.
TWO Kerr and Gomez are good friends. The two continually post Instagrams with one another like this:
THREE Bloom and Perry are in a solid relationship. We know this because we have seen pictures of the pair leaving the Met Gala after party. They also wore matching tamagotchis on the May 2 red carpet.
Chances are Bloom and Gomez were talking about Bieber, the actor potentially encouraging this moment where Gomez grabbed a “Please Marry Justin” sign out of the crowd and scrunched it up on stage.
