It’s no secret that model Miranda Kerr is a huge fan of mindfulness with self-care rituals and meditation techniques. But before she became a wellness guru and beauty mogul, the Australian export had harnessed the power of manifestation, perhaps by accident. Speaking to Ash London on her new namesake podcast, Kerr reflected on the day she realized she was pregnant with her first son, Flynn.

“I specifically said when I’m 27, I’m going to have my first baby,” she said. “And what was really funny is that on my 27th birthday I thought to myself wow you know I’m 27 and I remember looking back and saying that I’d always want to have a baby when I’m 27 but that’s the furthest thing from my mind right now. Little did I know that I was a couple of weeks pregnant.”

At the time, the former Victoria’s Secret angel was married to actor Orlando Bloom.

“I remember I was in Paris at the time with Orlando and I did the test, and I was like ‘Oh my goodness, I’m pregnant’, we’re pregnant … we were so excited and happy, we were just like wow this is such a life changing moment,” Kerr added.

The couple split in 2013. She married her current husband, Evan Spiegel in 2017 and has two more children, Hart, 3 and Myles, 1. Kerr co-parents her 10-year-old son with Bloom and his wife, Katy Perry.

Kerr reflected on sharing parenting duties with Perry in another interview, saying, “I saw how she was with Flynn, she was very playful with Flynn, she was not trying to be his mum,” Kerr said. “She was just being friendly and kind and that’s all you can ask for.”

Kerr’s conversation with London arrives as the radio host’s first episode of the Ash London PodcastIt is also followed by a second episode with Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers author, Liane Moriarty.
