Miley Cyrus’ Endless Summer Vacation Album (Columbia Records)

New Miley Cyrus music is on the way, and we couldn’t be more excited. On Thursday, Cyrus announced that her eighth studio album Endless Summer Vacation is dropping on March 10. Following her 2020 pop rock album, Plastic Hearts, the forthcoming record marks her first after signing with Columbia Records in early 2021.

She promoted the album’s release date with a one-minute teaser trailer, which included flashes of various scenes throughout L.A. and the singer reciting a short dialogue.

Promotional posters for the record feature inspirational self-love phrases like, “I can buy myself flowers,” “I can take myself dancing,” “I can hold my own hand,” and “I can love me better than you can.”

The album’s lead single, “Flowers,” will be released on Jan. 13 (which coincidentally — or not-so-coincidentally — is on the same day as her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth’s birthday).

In the album cover art, also shared today, Cyrus holds onto a horizontal pole against a clear blue sky. The Bangerz artist is seen in a black halter-neck vintage Azzedine Alaïa bodysuit with side cutouts, Saint Laurent slingback heels and narrow, angular black sunglasses, styled by Bradley Kenneth. Cyrus wore her bleach blonde tresses in wispy waves with a statement red lip.

The archival style moment follows her NBC New Year’s Eve Special, where Cyrus sported a curated vintage wardrobe filled with blasts from the past styles, perfectly encompassing her quintessential glam rock flair, from designers like Bob Mackie, Yves Saint Laurent, Gianni Versace and more.

During Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party, the songstress announced the upcoming release of “Flowers,” and shared a teaser video on Instagram of herself strutting along a street in what looks like sunny L.A. wearing a gold lamé hooded gown. The fabulous piece looks very similar to the one from Yves Saint Laurent’s Fall/Winter 1991 collection and knowing Cyrus’ penchant for wearing vintage finds, we have a feeling she dipped into the archive for this one.

“Flowers” is set to drop on Jan. 13, followed by the full album release of Endless Summer Vacation on March 10.
