Our Favorite Looks from Milan and Paris Fashion Week
Milan and Paris, oh my!
We are now officially nearing the end of Fashion Month. Milan wrapped and Paris is showcasing the final leg of the marathon month. After an exciting start in New York and London this season, we’re on the edge of our seat seeing what comes down the runway in the next. Below, see our recap of our favorite looks from Milan and Paris.
Chanel
Colossal camellias served as the centerpiece for the CHANEL Fall/Winter 2023 show in Paris. The iconic flower was shown in pieces throughout the collection.
Louis Vuitton
For Louis Vuitton’s Fall-Winter 2023 show, Nicolas Ghesquière had one question on his mind: What is French style?
Stella McCartney
White horses were running around the sandy arena setting the stage for an unforgetable show.
Miu Miu
Zaya Wade made her runway debut at Miu Miu where she walked amongst models Mia Goth, Emma Corrin and Amelia Gray Hamlin.
Valentino
Borrowed from the boys: Valentino updated the classic suit and tie this season. Oversized shirts and blazers were paired with mini skirts and topped off with a masculine neck tie accessory.
Hermès
The Hermès Fall/Winter 2023 collection did exactly what the brand does best — it exuded luxury.
Coperni
The Coperni show featured a Boston Dynamics robot dog, named Spot, that interacted with the models and played up the inspiration for the show: a fresh take on Jean de la Fontaine’s The Wolf and the Lamb.
Loewe
Jonathan Anderson plays with modern technology in garments that feature a glitch effect on the Loewe runway.
Isabel Marant
Isabel Marant brought back iconic early-2000s supermodels like Sasha Pivorova, Natasha Poly, Liya Kebede, Anna Ewers and Jessica Stam to walk the runway.
Rick Owens
Rick Owens showed inflated shrugs, cropped cowl-neck sweaters and pillow-like poufs that encircled the body on the runway this season.
Chloé
The leather tailoring techniques at Chloé are beyond incredible.
Givenchy
Givenchy was full of sleek, well-tailored clothing — with an edge.
Balmain
Olivier Rousteing dipped into the label’s archives, building upon the irreverent work of Pierre Balmain.
Acne Studios
The runway was set as an enchanted forest and the clothes represented that fantasy.
Courrèges
Kendall Jenner brought back red hair spotted on the Courreges runway.
Off-White
Naomi Campbell strutted down the runway for the first time this season at the Off-White Fall/Winter 2023 presentation during Paris Fashion Week.
Saint Laurent
Inspired by ‘80s-era workwear, Vaccarello admitted he took inspiration from the audacious costumes of Melanie Griffith and Sigourney Weaver in the 1988 film Working Girl.
Bottega Veneta
Matthieu Blazy’s third collection for the house did not disappoint. His work with leather is always fresh and exciting.
Missoni
Nothing beats the iconic Missoni zig-zag print, making this trench a must-have for fall.
MSGM
Big statement coats in bold colors were spotted all over the MSGM runway. (We’re equally loving the fuzzy heels!)
Dolce & Gabbana
Anok Yai closed the Dolce & Gabbana show in this jaw-dropping red crystal dress that we hope has a red carpet moment stat.
Ferragamo
There has been a buzz around Ferragamo and Maximilan Davis’ second collection for the house, and the designer lived up to the hype.
Sportmax
Oversized tailoring and interesting chokers caught our eye on the Sportmax runway this season. This collection was full of neutral looks that still packed a major punch.
Tod’s
This collection is what fall fashion dreams are made of — just look at this shearling topper!
Gucci
There’s a new It bag in town, because Gucci just sent down an updated version of the GG Horsebit bag down the runway.
GCDS
Bold yellow was a focal point of this bright collection.
Moschino
Moschino’s Fall 2023 collection was inspired by Salvador Dali’s The Persistence of Memory.
Blumarine
Blumarine designer Nicola Brognano was inspired by a film that influenced him in his youth, Luc Besson’s ’90s cult classic The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc.
MM6 Maison Margiela
MM6 Maison Margiela was the definition of cool this season. Deconstructed, layered pieces, easy denim and leather floated down the runway.
Max Mara
Max Mara creative director Ian Griffiths was inspired by Émilie du Châtelet, who wore about sensibility during the Age of Enlightenment, for the Fall assortment which was filled with chic and cozy separates, like long duster wool coats.
Etro
As a brand known for fabulous printed pieces, this Etro tweed jacket paired with a bold blouse is perfect for fall and winter.
I am always excited to see what Diesel sends down the runway and this season delivered on the shock-and-awe. Condoms served as the runway backdrop, highlighting the theme of the collection which was all about freedom, pleasure and experimentation.
Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid have returned to the runway during Milan Fashion Week on the Prada catwalk. Jenner strutted down in camel colored coat, sculptural heels and edgy lavender eyelashes.
Roberto Cavalli
Fausto Puglisi brought the desert to Milan with Roberto Cavalli’s latest collection. In 2022, Puglisi traveled through the American Southwest and now, brought the memories of that trip and gave them the Cavalli treatment.
Fendi
“It’s deconstructed but luxurious,” said Kim Jones of Fendi’s Fall 2023 collection. “There’s a little nod to punk but moved on towards something chic.” This skirt set is the perfect example of deconstructed luxury.
