Just when we thought the era of celebrity red heads was coming to a close — a trend tried and tested by the likes of Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Halsey — it seems that Megan Fox is giving the colored locks a whirl. The actress is not one to stray from making a statement (remember the VMAs?!) and stepped out for the Time100 Next Gala in New York City overnight to debut a fiery red hue and it wasn’t the only aspect of her look that turned heads.

Walking hand-in-hand with fiancé Machine Gun Kelly, Fox shimmered in a gold floor-grazing Maison Yeya gown which featured a thigh-high split. Her beau wore a patent black bolero and faux leather trousers with a clear corset courtesy of Dolce & Gabbana.

It’s unclear if Fox’s long burgundy hair is the work of a well-placed wig or expert coloring, her brunette roots just peeking out at the scalp. The look was of course courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos who also counts clients such as Meghan Trainor and Joey King. To complement the moody look she wore an ombre red lip and a golden eyeshadow from makeup artist Clarissa Luna.

Fox isn’t afraid of a bold hair transformation and this week’s is just the latest in a string on trending hair looks. She tried her darnedest to bring back the sweeping side part – a Y2K signature – while she’s opted for Barbiecore pastel pink locks in the past as well as clip-in bangs.

The couple have reportedly been in the final stages of planning their wedding for some time and unsurprisingly want a “dark” and “sexy” wedding. If last night is anything to judge by we can only imagine what their reception might entail.
